Is dumping them already bad enough? Why do they have to go the extra mile to be mean?

Because we are afraid to start having feelings, so we replace any previous feelings with pseudo anger. It's a way to keep ourselves as far away from the pain as possible.

The answer to your question is complicated and sometimes the reason the woman got dumped is complicated. Sure you will have your typical: Guy dumps girl so he can have other girl situations. you will also have your: Guy dumps girl because she is bug sh*t nuts situations. Occasionally you have a situation where the guy dumps the girl because he is insecure about their relationship and scared.
These guys are mean as a defense mechanism. they feel if they are mean to you they can avoid any kind of heart felt emotion or sense of regret for what they did. They are trying to illicit a responce. I.E. If' I'm mean to her, she will say nasty things to me and it will make it easier to move on.
It doesn't make any damn sense to me, it never has, but it IS the way it is...

because they are immature. They feel that it is necessary to make others feel bad so they can feel better about themselfs. They are looking for someone to tell them that they made the right descission about breaking up with us. It hurts because you loved him or really liked him. But now you at least know what he is really like, he is obviously not mature enough to be in a realationship, he is not worthy of being with you if he needs to be mean.

when a guy that uses girls is done with one-they dont want to hear any complaints so they put up a barrier to keep them away, so they can go after their next victim with no obstrucions.

They dump them because they aren't very interested in them anymore. They are mean because they are trying to prove that they are not interested in them anymore. It is a dumb reason.

Depending on your age, you will interpret things differently.....additionally, guys mature later than women do. How do you know he's mean if you dont associate with him? Ignoring him is the best "revenge".

Because they have completely lost interest in her, and feel that by being mean, the girl will go away, or lose interest in him. That's my guess.
