My mother In-law baby sits my one year old and she gets bored. She babysits at my home once a week and some times more. She's a really social person so I think sitting around is not her thing. We don't have phone she can use just has her cell so not sure if she can use that, but the worst of it is she cleans and moves things around my house and it drives me crazy i told her how i felt and she still does it. It is embarrassing that she does things like that. She always has to be in control. I feel like she only baby sits because she has too and not that she wants to. What grandmother wouldn't want to babysit there grandchild? I need help. What can keep her busy while babysitting??? Help PLEASE---Note this is her first grandchild and only grandchild.

Well, my mother in law is a scary Driver, but she takes walk with her so that ok. I hate her complaining, she been doing this for a year and needs to start a new hobby. She is making sound like she does not want to babysit her. Too bad if my house is not as claean as hers. She doesn't have a job. Maybe i am being to stubborn. I know i will soon be listening to a whining baby and I do not need if from my mother in law. I think she likes getting attention and have there be drama.

Maybe your mother in law IS bored so moving things around and cleaning keeps her occupied.... there isnt a lot a person can do with a 1 year old for a long period of time.

Maybe she needs a hobby, but you can't force her to bring her cross stitch over... I wonder if she can babysit in her home? would that work?

Is she able to get around? I mean, drive a car? Well, why not take the child out to the park on a nice day or a museum? That way, they both get to be out of the house, and your child can see the world! There are plenty of places your child would love to go visit - zoo to see the animals, museums for kids, parks with room to move around, playgrounds.
