We know that harm to others is wrong no matter what you believe in. Why do some hold onto beliefs that actually go against what was taught? If I think 'Love your neighbor as yourself' and then see others bashing homosexuals, atheists etc etc then I wonder:
What is it that you believe? Love but not tolerate/accept? I don't see where both can exist. Love but hate? Thoughts.......Isn't hating the sin but loving the sinner actually just masked hatred? Namaste

No, I can see how you could come to that conclusion...but not actually... Just because a person is a homosexual, that doesn't define WHO they are. It might be a part of their person in whole but it is not their definition. So it's like a salad... I can love salad, but not love tomatoes... Or does that mean that I hate salad as a whole? Absolutely not! It just means I have a preference. right? Well, same thing when it comes to "neighbors"... Just because there is something about you that I don't necessarily "like" or I would rather say "want to partake of" that doesn't mean I don't like you as a person. It's the principle that I dis-agree with, not the person. You see?

The Hollywood gang has convinced many that we have to tolerate everything. It's a lie. We need to stand up for what is right and turn away from the wrong that's consuming too many people these days. Don'te be sucked in. You contradict yourself. Why don't you tolerate the those that teach intolerance?

Christians are suppossed to love the sinner hate the sin. Because there is not one out there that is free from sin, Christianity isn't for the rightgeous and the saints it's for the fallen and downtrodden. God doesn't want Christians he want's to reach the unsaved. I don't hate homosexuals, I don't agree with homosexuality, as I am sure homosexulas don't agree with traditional relationships. I don't think that means that they hate men and women that are married. I don't hate athiests, I am saddened that they think they have realized a false truth. Anyway, I don't hate anyone. I can continue to say that I loath sin and pray everyday that the Lord Jesus Christ forgives mine. I am a sinner and I will continue to sin until the day I die, that's my plight as a human being. I am just thankful that I have a loving and merciful God that died on the Cross to purchase that sin.

You're right on all counts except the last. Christians shouldn't bash anyone. It's counter-productive to our mission to lead others to Christ. There is a difference between hating sin and hating a sinner. We are ALL sinners and hating one should equal hating ourselves. I have friends that have no interest in God at all. I hate they don't and I hate it when they sin against God, but I don't hate them. I pray for them regularly and continue trying to be a good example. I also bring up Jesus whenever I have the opportunity.

Bible text in quoting god condone hate, for example. Thou shall have no other god before me-A form of prejudice in its creative point. Whore mongers and adulterers god will judge-it has been judged in the story of Sodom and Gomorrah with the salt story which is a twisting of the occurrences, not to include the fast talking scare tactics that's infused within the brutal money hungers of today. they often promote the hate crimes within our cities. Simply to try and fulfill the hatred that they studied and do not even care to be truthfully about. ICHANTGREETINGS !~CHANT~A~SEALLAH~!

If you think about it....
does not our Creator ' hate the sin but love the sinner'? we being the sinners?
You were right in promoting love. we know that "God IS love" and His son Jesus used His life/ministry promoting love.
Bashing different lifestyles is not the proper way to go about changing an individual (If that is what one thinks should be done)

Why accept religion's BS, lies and deceptions?
Go beyond religion:
Have UnConditional Love and Peace by accomplishing this:
Create Your Relationship with Our Creator.
UnConditional Love and Peace is the only answer.

Tolerance, these days, can actually mean moral apathy.
That is not a virtue. There is a balance.
Love God, love others, support other's real needs,
don't support sin (sin that you do and sin that other's do
included) - don't support moral apathy - it's a "run away
train" for sure.

No, it is not masked hatred of the person. But consider this... if religious teaching breeds intolerance and hatred, how do you explain the hatred and intolerance levied at Christians by atheists, secularists, humanists, etc...?

People use religion as a platform for their hate by finding certain passages in their holy texts and twisting the meanings to fit their ideals of hatred.
You see this particularly in neo-Nazis, and the KKK, along with the UCC.
It's pretty disgusting, no matter where it comes from.
