Here's the website with all the information you need:
http://www.socialsecurity.gov/online/ss-5.html

To change (or correct) your name on your Social Security card:

Complete an Application For A Social Security Card (Form SS-5); http://www.socialsecurity.gov/online/ss-5.html

Show us proof of your:
U.S. citizenship (if you have not previously established your citizenship with us) or immigration status;
Legal name change; and
Identity.
Take (or mail) your completed application and documents to your local Social Security office.

Piece of cake. Go to your local social security office, fill out the form. Bring your marriage certificate and your old ss card and they will change your surname and send you a new card with your same old number but, with your married name. It took as long as the drive and about 10 minutes to fill out the form and a few more minutes with a clerk. No big deal.

One of your options is to go to the local Social Security Office and fill out their forms. You'll probably have to show them various documents to prove that you are you.

Or check out the Social Security web site. Or call your Congressman.
