My son and daughter in law just miscarried there baby and neither one understands. How do I help them? They don't understand why they can't say good bye.
They are both ver young and really wanted this baby.

there are no words to make them feel better. you cant explain it, these things just happen. please dont say 'you can always have more kids' or 'it was meant to be' it really doesn't make anyone feel better. I had a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks over a year ago and still think about it. but I'm currently 22 weeks pregnant

You can't explain it and you shouldn't try. Usually when someone miscarries you don't know why. All you can do is be there to support them. And remember especially since they wanted this baby, they lost a baby. Even thought the child hadn't been born yet, it was their child and it died. I don't think any parent can ever understand that. It is just something they will have to get through one day at a time.

I always look at life like everything happens for a reason. I would try to explain to them that most likely something was wrong medically that this baby miscarried. It is so hard to explain death that happens like this. Just be supportive. Sometimes it isn't tell them something but listening and lots of hugs and kisses.

there's really no words I lost one at 14 weeks and yah it is really hard the best thing you can do is just be there for them and love them and try talking about good things with them it is actually harder on the woman than man because the woman is the one carrying the baby just be loving and helpful God bless
