Yeah but you won't be getting all of your nutrients and the chances are you will gain a lot of the weight back, maybe more, after your week of practically fasting. You need to eat 5 small meals a day, and do sprints! In only 3-4 minutes a day you can burn more calories than you ever imagined. Drink a ton of water, and with the sprints you'll be burning calories even while you're sleeping. Eat a lot of veggies, also.

Depending on the type of smoothie- If it's just fruit/sugar than it's NOT the best idea.. You need vitamins and minerals.. However, if you use a protein powder and cut back on sugar or sweeteners than it should be ok. It just needs to be balanced... I would take a multivitamin to be on the safe side and really make sure to take care of your teeth and brush them 3x a day to remove sugar/berry stains and floss... I wouldn't call a smoothie a "diet" type drink... Good luck

You need to make sure that the smootie includes are the required nutrients your body needs to survive... You need more than just fruit... Be sure you have calcium in there... include some whey protein powder, and even some flax seed powder... I use it in things like tuna or my tomatoe sauce for the healthy fatty acids that your body needs... it is pretty much tasteless... And be sure to choose other things than fruit... You will take in SOOOO many sugars with 'fruit' smooties for a week... Consider something like a V8 too...
