Is he still in the U.S. or is he in Mexico with his mother? If he returns to Mexico with his mother will that affect his citizenship in the U.S.? I think the U.S. will see this happen time and time again . . . is it reasonable to send the child home with his family but guarantee citizenship once he is eighteen?

if he was born here then he will maintain his citizenship, be may be able to also be dual citizenship with Mexico. He should be back with his mother, but of course he retains the right to come and go in the US as he pleases if he is a citizen.

The little boy and his mother have not been seperated. The child is less than a stone throw away. An adult can take him back and forth from San Diego to Tijuana all day if desired. She too can walk back into the country at will. The INS did not want to really deport her, for they would have taken her back to Mexico. Tijuana is Baja California. It is more a part of California than Mexico. This woman could be back in the country at this point. I am sure she is laughing at the jokes we call INS. 99% of all INS agents throughout our Southern borders are Mexicans.

Judy...this lady broke the law more than once. The fact that she committed ID theft and has destroyed another persons life is disgusting to say the least!

The kid is with the pastor who aided and abetted this woman in breaking the laws. I think the child needs to go and live with his mother in Mexico and if he wants to come back later let him. But this is a perfect reason of WHY something needs to be done to clarify the 14th amendment and make it so kids born in the US don't automatically become citizens...because people will use the children as pawns.

He's still in the US, with members of the congregation that gave him and his mother sanctuary. He is, in fact, a natural-born US citizen. Going to Mexico will not effect that; however, there's no guarantee that he won't have problems getting back in in the future.

Pro-illegals have already tried to claim it was somehow the U.S.'s fault that she abandoned her child.

Her decision to abandon her child was hers and hers alone.

She intentionally and knowingly broke the our laws, including felony theft. This decision was hers and hers alone.

P.S. I love the way "judy" totally ignored the fact that committed felony theft, and is calling others the "true" criminals as if she's innocent of any wrongdoing!

antis suck--If she had been sent to prison for her felony theft, which she very well could have, he would be still be "crying himself to sleep" wouldn't he?? How many children do you think have parents in prison for crimes they committed...why aren't you feeling sorry for them, only illegal aliens??

The consequences of her actions are her fault and hers alone.

SHE HANDLED THE BOY, to a family here, I saw her interview last night on univision, and she said that defenitely she was a threat to the USA GOVERMENT, and I totally a gree, cause I had friends and family that had been deporte, and they swith you from jail to jail like a dog, for almost 1 month or 2, but they got rid of her right away. this country defenitely doesn't know the difference between people that comes here and work hard, just for the crumbs, and help their families, they tend to reinforce all the laws on us only, AND THEY COULDN'T HELP IT WITH THE TRUE CRIMINALS, LIKE OSAMA AND ALL THE MUSLIMS EXTREMIST OUT THERE, such as that example from the @ss holes that blew the WTC 9-11, they got flight permits, all types of I.D.s, green card, and everything that they neede ISSUED BY THE SAME AMERICANS .
