I have fought when others feared to serve.
I have gone where others failed to go.
I've lost friends in war and strife,
Who valued Duty more than love of life.
I have shared the comradeship of pain.
I have searched the lands for men that we have lost.
I have sons who served this land of liberty,
Who would fight to see that other stricken lands are free.
I have seen the weak forsake humanity.
I have heard the traitors praise our enemy.
I've seen challenged men become even bolder,
I've seen the Duty, Honor, Sacrifice of the Soldier.
Now I understand the meaning of our lives,
The loss of comrades not so very long ago.
So to you who have answered duties siren call,
May God bless you my son, may God bless you all.

I am glad there are still some people out there that accept the fact that these men and women are proud to do what they do. My fiance's cousin is getting deployed to Iraq next month, he is so excited (and yes, he has been one time before, for a year), he says its an experience and that everyone that has joined for the right reason is honored to be helping their country, and they don't whine about what they signed up for.
I am very proud of all these soldiers, because I know I could never do what they do, and until I have been in their shoes, they will get nothing but praise from me =)!

while i replaced into sixteen I objected to the term- my son- which got here from not my father yet an entire stranger. My mate hates being stated as a Chav, i won't be in a position to stand the term center elderly, it sounds greater like center a while ! Geriatric is yet another bone of opposition ? What approximately Recycled teen or lively Pensioner ? i think of I want Senior Citizen, yet there lower back it is merely my own own view. it is the difficulty there are consistently people who opt to pigeonhole and steriotype anybody, yet anybody is a individual, at each age point and what seems the two suited to the age attained, the guy could desire to be the two forward or backward to those years. a pal of mine is 40-one yet acts like a 80 year previous, my mum while at 80 acted greater like a teenager, so as that leaves the question why catigorise in the 1st place? we are all area of the human race, as long as we don't come final who cares !!lol!!

That was very nice. I want to share with you, my favorite Armed Forces Prayer
The LORD is my strenght and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and I am helped.
PSALM 28:7
Lord, I thank You, for all the men and women serving in our Armed Forces. They chose to put their lives on the line so we can have freedom and peace - and for that I am truly grateful. I ask that You bless them for their loyalty and service. Protect them and keep them safe. Comfort them and give them strenght when they are away from loved ones. Bless, too, the families who send soldiers to war or for duty overseas. I pray that You meet their every need.
Amen.
