It sounds like a swollen lymph node due to infection. This can be serious so go to the doctors as soon as possible.

If you can't see a doctor, get some echinacea from the health food store and take 3 capsules 3 times a day for 3 days. It is a natural antibiotic.

If you spike a fever or the swelling goes to another node, don't wait, go to the hospital as the infection is running your lymphatic system and could be extremely dangerous.

You need a doctor to diagnose your problem. If it is sore throat or acute tonsillopharyngitis, your doctor might see it fit to prescribe you some antibiotics. If it is something else, it is better that the doctor does a complete history of the "bump" and to have a proper physical examination.

i have experienced like that before, my doctor recommended me to use erythromycin. It's an anti-biotic, and it really works. Be sure to eat first before taking the said medicine...

Unless you had your tonsils removed, better go see a doctor, if you had your tonsils removed, it could be that they decided to grow back, it has happened.
