The bible said in (John 1:18)
No one has ever seen God, but God the One and Only , who is at the Father's side, has made him known.

But in (Exodus 33 :11 ) Moses did

The LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks with his friend. Then Moses would return to the camp, but his young aide Joshua son of Nun did not leave the tent.

and in (Job 42:5) Job did
My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you.

David did in ( Psalm 63 :2)
I have seen you in the sanctuary and beheld your power and your glory.

Acts 7:2 Abraham did
To this he replied: "Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran.

so... can you explain that to me ??

As God the Father is a spirit, which as no physical form, it is impossible to see him with the physical eye. So no man has ever seen God in spirit form.

However, when he acts in the physical realm, it often shows up as "glory". That can be seen in the same sense that his "power" can be seen (Psalms 63:2). Just as you can not see "power" as a physical object, so neither can you see "glory". But you can "see" the affect of both. It is to this that the Bible writers refer.

Realize also that Christian doctrine teaches that God is a Trinity. That means he appears in more than one form or "person". One of those person is God the Son, named Jesus the Christ. Unlike God the Father, he has a physical body. He can be seen touched, handled, etc. (See 1 John 1).

You will also find that Jesus makes appearances in the Old Testament prior to his "birth" at the beginning of the gospels. He is visible, as he has a physical body. Many of the "appearances" of God in the OT as appearances of God the Son, not God the Father.

You also seem to limit God's ability to "appear" to someone to having to be "seen" in the physical. If you read through the Bible, you will find that God "appeared" in visible forms (the burning bush that Moses saw, the whirlwind the Job show, the still small voice that spoke to Elijah, the flaming pot and the smoking furnance which passed through the pieces for Abraham) that were NOT his invivisble spiritual form.

Finally, John 1:18 is talking about more than simply "seeing" God in the physical sense. The Greek word used there (haroa) means to have a complete understanding and knowledge of something. The scripture is not talking about no man "seeing" God with the physical eyes, but rather about no man having a full understanding of who God is and how to relate to him. That is why it takes Jesus to explain who he is. (You did read the rest of the verse, right?)

So there is no contradiction between those scriptures. But you have to read the whole book - and do a little thinking and studying - to understand what the scriptures teach.

The word "god" has reference to the ancient term "king, president, ruler, even oppressor" so the forgotten meaning although eliminated by the authors of the past are clear. Never fear there is much more to this truth. It is like the conclusive position that the English language is not a foreign language and often most of it's "linguistic", "pa-rte." to hold the power as god is a simple feat among "Whumans." Job reference in the writing is an interesting reference to that truth and widely overlooked as to what he actually was referring to. For instance, the slaughter of his children was nothing more than a power struggle by bandits of their era. Yes the recorded details are a wonderful misrepresentation of the facts. You must step back back in time to see the event as they unfold. Check out the "time travel theory on yahoo science for today 08-21-07. Blessedness Ichantgreetings. !~CHANT~A~SEALLAH~!

Notice that whenever God appears to somebody personally in the Bible, it's one person, alone, frequently in the wilderness or on some kind of "vision quest" to bring God's word back to the people. Also notice that the message God brings to his observers is one highly attuned to their deepest personal needs--Job's need to have his faith validated, Moses' need to inspire his people, etc. Many of the answers you're looking for are in a book called Why God Won't Go Away.

When in the Exodus passage, it says Moses spoke with God "face to face," he did not literally look into the face of God. God is, first of all, a spiritual being that transcends physical properties. Second of all, there is another Exodus passage where Moses asks to see God, but God only allows Moses to look at His back, because to look God in the face would cause him to die. When Moses spoke to God, he spoke to the cloud of His glory that surrounded Mt. Sinai. However, God is made known to those who choose to have a personal relationship with Him, and even to some who don't.

Add to your list:

Genesis 18:1 "The Lord appeared to Abraham"
verse 2: Abraham looked up, and saw three men"
verse 5: Abraham offers them something to eat, and they agree.

Genesis 32: Jacob wrestles with God (NIV). verse 30: Jacob says, "because I have seen God face to face, yet my life was spared."

God can work a miracle to enable people to see him in some way. That is why those people who get to see him are always so amazed at the fact that they saw God and lived to tell the tale - it's a miracle.

I can explain that you are full of it and yourself.
Your question shows the depth of your ignorance in terms of bible knowledge as none of the things you say are accurate or even in context.
Study up Child and then come back and try again. It might help to read and study the word yourself instead of listening to other fools such as yourself.

Has anyone considered that it could have been Jesus they were talking to? He has existed since the beginning. The Supreme God's light is too powerful for mortal man to see and then live to tell about it.
