i can name you many prophets who came after Mohommed and still do keep popping up from time to time playing the same games that Mohommed did to take their stupid followers on rides of their lives

God has appeared to many over the years. At the time whoosit spoke those words he may have been the last at that point in time. Since then there have been many others. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints (Mormons) have a leader who is a prophet and receives revelations and yada from God; as do other religions. Reference the part in the scriptures about Jesus stating that in his Father's house there were many mansions. There are simply too many humans running around for one person to be a prophet for all of them.

Why say Mohammed was the last prophet?
To prevent competition.
Same reasons Christians claim that John the Baptist was the last prophet, and that Jesus was the fulfillment of John's prophecy.
You have a whole long list of bad guys there. You're right, most religious leaders are up to no good. There are a few who are decent people, like Gandhi and Dorothy Day.

We say Muhammad was thel ast Prophet becoz it says in the Quran
"Muhammad is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of God and the Seal of the prophets. And God is ever Knower of all things." - Qur'an: "The Allies", verse 40
And secondly there r like 2 billion Muslims,,,all willing to give their lives for him,,if need arises.
And the ppl u mentioned exept Guru nanak,,,I've never heard of them in my life,,,,keep on writing till tomorrow maybe u'll come up with a name we've heard.

because he IS the last prophet... it was known even before he was born... if u look it up in history... u will find that even the bible mentioned it.. and the jews as well knew he was coming.... but unfortunatel the bible has been altered in many ways ... go back in history and u will know.. u sound like those poeple at that time who were scared of this coming prophet...
if u dont believe it .. and if u are insisting that muhammed peace be upon him isnt the last prophet.. why ask????
and by the way.. muslims are the only poeple who believe in all the prophets... we believe in jesus, moses.. and all of the other prohphets.... we dont consider mohammed as our GOD.. he is a messenger.. he is a prophet.. he is a regular human being... we believe in all the prophet because they were mentioned in our holy quran... because all religions are sent form GOD... and islam was the last..

He's the prophet that they worship, so he's the last important one to them.
Oh yes they do. You do not have to consider someone a deity to worship them. The praise and honor they lavish on Mohammed is more than enough to be called "worship".

If you were a former muslim, then you might be remembering this " I bear witness that there is no god except God and I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. " (Arabic transliteration: "Ash hadu anlaa ilaaha illallaahu wa ash hadu anna muhammadar-rasulallah").
& in Quran, various places its mentioned that Mohammad (pbuh) is the last messenger.
That is enough for me to believe, Mohammad (pbuh) is the last messenger from Allah.
