He's definitely into you. When a man tells you you smell nice, it usually means he thinks a lot about you. Guys are naturally unobservant by nature if I do say so myself, being one that is. Actually taking the time to notice and even mention something like this to the girl means something.

Perhaps he's plotting against you, planning to use your smell to rule the world. He might be an alien from a far planet, here to steal our treasured secrets. He could be madly in love with you, willing to sacrifice his very soul for only a hint of your smell. Yes, it could be much deeper than you can ever imagine. Or, and this is just a guess, he could have simply given you a compliment that you've taken to another level.

Most of the times when I've said that I was interested in a woman, but every so often I'll get an enticing whiff that makes me notice some random woman without any thought beyond that. (But nothing will put a woman on a man's radar faster than smelling really good!)

I guess a person usually compliments someone when that person is intersted in the other.
But I guess you just wanna make sure that he's into you. Think about it this way: if he had something against you or had no interest at all, he wouldn't have minded to tell you that you smell really good.
Also, he's a male! Boys don't compliment girls very often.....
So...............I guess he like you or even more.
