I mean why spend the rest of your life resisting & worrying about something that's inevitable?

People only see what's on the surface and look no deeper. Old people aren't valued for their wisdom anymore.
It's not something I worry about but like someone above said, I'll go down fighting doing the best I can with what I have lol!
btw, did you happen to see Priscilla on Larry King Live? She has the face of a 20 year old & hands like 62. Very unnatural. I don't care for this extreme.

Interesting question the reason is that people are afraid to address their own mortality because we live in a youth conscious society where old age is bad something to be avoided at all costs but as you say time has no frontiers----Gosh Elvis how many face lifts have you had you look better than you did 30 years ago

I admit I have had a problem the past couple of years realizing I am not as physically strong as I once was..I thought it meant giving up riding motorcycles, and some other really fun things I enjoyed then I realized I could make some adjustments and still do most of the things just not so hell bent wide open

Not me. Growing old gracefully .It does have advantages you know, like reduced prices to lots of theatre shows and cinema. If you forget something the family make allowances for you,you don't have to go to work, you can nod off in your arm chair in the middle of the day without anyone disapproving,to name just a few !

most people that wory about getting older are people who enjoy life and obviously something that you enjoy isnt something that you want to end. Getting older is a sign that you are getting closer to the end thus being the problem that these people have

It's because of our inherent fear of the unknown and resistance to change is due to this. If we had our own ways we would keep everything the way it is because we have adjusted to it.
Hope this answers your question in one part at least.
Good Luck.

I'd say because people are scared of things changing and no longer being able to get things which are important to them (such as lovers, respect etc)

I don't know. The day I can't bungee jump or go in the mosh pit anymore, maybe I'll think about getting old.
