I find my mom being dumb sometimes, turning me into a perfectionist and making me arrogant

Consider it as being detail-oriented and confident, not perfectionist and arrogant. Because nobody likes an arrogant perfectionist.
And your mom can't make you these things. She may cultivate tendencies that you already have, but at some point you've got to accept responsibility for yourself.

Your mom wants you to do the best you can do and take pride in your accomplishments. Many parents are exacting, they want us to know how to do things the right way (generally their way) and they want us to be successful in life. If you were taught to do things in a half-*** ed manner that will not serve you well later in life.
Your mom cannot make you arrogant, that my friend is on you. Parents may like to brag about their children's accomplishments but it you let that go to your head and start acting arrogant, that is something your mom has no control over. Your behaviour is you own.

Mothers are the people who never let you down. We nourish
and tend to all your needs, we love you, believe in you, and want all the best things in life for you. We may seem simple and stupid to you sometimes, but when everyone else turns their back on you we are still there, loving and believing in you. If you are arrogant, it is what you have chosen to be. Be thankful you have a mom who loves you.

I think, in many ways, some mothers have a tendency to do that because they are actually trying to instill confidence. From a leader's perspective, it can be difficult if not impossible to tell where a line may have been crossed. I'm sure that's not her intention, but a worried mom is a desperate mom.

i don't think that your mom is dumb. i cannot imagine any mother, who would ask a child to being arrogant. Perfection, maybe, all she asked from you is to always give your best in whatever you do, and ask to do, to always aim high., but never to make you an arrogant person.

In a fewe years, you will realize just how smart your mother was for doing that. She is just trying to help you prepare for your future. Adult life is much, much different from being a young person.
