Sit up on their computer all night long vigorously trying to disprove something they don't believe exists in the first place?

Also, how many so-called atheists do you think really deep down believes in God??? I'll never forget that one girl on here who said she was an atheist (her family were Christians) and she was very mad at God because her elderly grandmother fell out of a chair!

my thoughts exactly. there seems to be a heavy dose of atheists and non-believers who are interested only in R&S.

well God bless.

I'm not sure, but I doubt they are doing that all the time. They gotta eat too.

I believe that when a person says they are an atheist, then they do not believe any such thing as a Deity exists. Why would they go through all of that if they did believe he does exist? Seems to me they would show where others were wrong about the image of God, seeing as most are more knowledgeable about the Bible than the majority of Christians (oddly enough, studies have shown that most Christians can't even list the 10 Commandments without looking it up)

Did you ever stop to think that when she said that, that she was being sarcastic? Maybe trying to get Christians to respond to the general symbolism she placed within that statement? Such as those who claim that God punishes entire cities, like New Orleans, because we don't make laws against Homosexuality? Even to the point that they claim it was alright even when God killed innocent people (which is very odd to me, since they claim God IS His Word, yet he seems to go against it when they say things like this.... killing the innocent is Murder) But cover it up with "Well, he's God, he can do anything he wants". Sure, God can do whatever he wants, but you can't expect people to take it seriously when they say He IS His Word and He doesn't even stick to it.

The same could be said about Christians. Why would you sit up all night long vigorously trying to prove something to someone who doesn't believe it exists? I say to each their own. I am not an Atheists or a Christian. I have my own belief system. No one has to believe or not believe the way any one else does. I find it quite funny that Christians say God created us all and then say Atheists are going to go to hell., Are you trying to tell me that God created a mistake. Or he created Atheists for some sick pleasure of sending people to hell? I don't think so. If we are to believe that God created us in his image or likeness and that God is a Loving God and that God is perfect then how are we to say that any religion is wrong? That any persons non belief is wrong. Are we to believe that God has faults and made mistakes. If that is the case doesn't it shoot down your Christian theories? My only other comment is this. Does it in anyway effect your belief in God if someone else does not believe in him? The answer is no so why are there all these problems and fights on here about Christians and Atheists?

I could say the same thing about so-called believers who stay up all night long arguing about something they don't understand. Most of the atheists I have met know far more about religion than any of the religious people I know. If you're gonna shoot your mouth off about something, understand it first.
But then again, that is a generalisation, and we shouldn't generalise.

i would call that person the same thing i would call someone who sat up all night trying to prove something that others didn't believe existed. stubborn.

the girl you mention was probably just that. a girl. she was probably a teenager who is still trying to find herself.

i won't ever try to persuade anyone to believe the same way i do. if someone asks me questions i will try to answer them. i am very eclectic in my beliefs.

bright blessings to you.

my answer is that they must be emotionally hurt. most people refuse to believe in God because of a death of someone they know. Unlike what many churches teach, of a person going to heaven or hell, or the worst comment of all, God took them, it is resentment. Too bad they don't pick up a bible and read it. They are not aware of things like the 9 resurrections listed in the bible.

1) Insomnia and a bad social life, I guess
2) Atheists don't believe in God, so they can't be mad at something they don't believe in (thus making them just "mad at God" and not "Atheists").

To disprove? Nah... just to demonstrate the ridiculousness and drooling stupidity of faith-based religious 'belief'. Consider it a public service... intervention on behalf of vulnerable minds who might otherwise be influenced by the religious 'message'.

There are ignorant, emotional, impulsive Atheists the same way that there are ignorant, emotional, impulsive followers of any religion. You can't base your opinion of a group on the behavior of a few extremists.
