Sounds like worms,go to Boots and get yourself a tablet,it is quite hefty on the system,be prepared for a day of poo.Stop scratching your bum,as, if you have worms, eggs can lodge under your nails and you will be infecting yourself all over again.
Once you have taken the tablet, when you go to the loo,you should be able to see tiny white wriggly things. If so,it is definitely worms.
Failing that, could be piles,or a tear, then you will need something like Anusol,an antibacterial cream.

Bum Itching And Bleeding

If your doctor has been unable to identify any other cause, it probably relates to your digestive system. If your digestive system (Stomach, small intestines, large intestines, colon, liver) are not functioning at optimal levels, you can end up having cracks at the end of your colon. It's a result of the damage to the rest of the system. I had that problem because I had gastritis for about 20 years. Doctors couldn't really help me either. And just over a year ago I started having the type of bleeding you describe. Then last year I discovered the following treatments and I've completely eliminated the problem, including the gastritis.

Start with this NutriClean Seven Day Colon and Liver cleansing system - This is done only once for 7 days. It's recommended you do it at least once per year. http://www.marketamerica.com/pulse99/index.cfm?action=shopping.uoProduct&storeID=8&prodID=13281

The rest of this process should be followed for at least 90 days to produce the desired results. You may get relief after just the first couple of weeks. However, if you stop, you'll bring back the bleeding condition, as it does take your body some time to fully heal inside.

After the 7-day cleansing, use NutriClean Fiber powder get a proper amount of dietary fiber without further damaging your stomach, small intestines or colon. You can get fiber by eating things nuts, popcorn and flaxseed. The problem is that your system may not be able to process that right now. You have to heal first. After about 6 months, you can try to introduce nuts into your diet. But I recommend continuing with the fiber power for at least one year. http://www.marketamerica.com/pulse99/index.cfm?action=shopping.uoProduct&storeID=8&prodID=13279

Take Aloe Juice everyday to help heal your stomach, colon. http://www.marketamerica.com/pulse99/index.cfm?action=shopping.uoProduct&storeID=8&prodID=1285

Take Vitamin B-Complex once daily as directed.

Take Multi Vitamin once daily as directed http://www.marketamerica.com/pulse99/index.cfm?action=shopping.uoProduct&storeID=8&prodID=13048

After 90 days, stop taking the B-complex....The combination of B-complex and multivitamin provides you with an elevated level of B vitamins. It's needed to get your body healed, but won't be needed after 90 days.

Good luck!

Go to a different doctor. You could just have anal fissures which are caused by stress and a tear in the lining. Try Anusol that works well.

The "Vet" should take a skin scraping to see if there is a Mite affecting the poor dogs. In the mean time try some "AloeVera" gel on the itching. it is very soothing. You can get it at the super market or chemist.Poor dogs I can imagine how they feel. Good Luck

Take a diet with more fruit and vegetables in it. Cut down of the alcohol.
What is it? It's probably piles.

I just use drugstore anti-itch products. There's one called calamine that I have been using on my mosquitto bites for a few years.
