Don't be worried, she'll still be the same dog.

I have an extremely hyper puppy, and when we went to pick her up after she was spayed so was still groggy - to tell you the truth it was nice having a quiet night :)

Congratulations on doing the right thing and having your dog spayed. It will protect her against a lot of diseases, and will be less problematic when she is on heat.

I work part time at a veterinary surgery and have seen more spays and castrations then I can count. They all go fine, and the dog is back to it's normal self in a day or so.

After my dog was spayed she did become slightly quieter over the next few months, but they was probably just because she was becoming more mature.

Seriously, don't be worried. Everything will be fine :)

It's a good choice to get your dog spayed. All my dogs have been spayed or neutered. They have always been the same after wards. When you pick her up from the vet she will probably be a bit groggy because of the anesthesia but that is a temporary side effect. Once she gets over the anesthesia she will be the same. Some people say their dogs are calmer and more affectionate after the surgery.

There are definitely more benefits than disadvantages to have your dog spayed. She will be less likely to get several forms of cancer/tumors . Check out this link:

Good luck!

Good for you for getting her spayed, and no,she won't be different, just healthier, because she won't get pyometra ( uterine infection) or false pregnancies, and she will be less prone to breast cancer. She will be sore for a few days, but otherwise, she will be the same dog that she's always been.Spaying doesn't change their personality.

no her attitude should not change. her heats will stop and u wont have to clean up nasty messes on the carpet. she will be much happier and not craving sex. hahaha! sorry had to say it
female dogs tend to be better housepets and supposedly easier to train as they dont have the traits of a male dog such as aggression and jealousy!

Dont.
Yes she will be different. She will become fat.
If you are a responsible owner and dont let her give birth more than two times in her life and if you take care her puppies will all find good homes, then there is NO REASON to spay your dog
To the ones who will tell you you can prevent pyometra (inflammation of the uterus) by spaying her, that is like removing a woman's breast tisuue to prevent breast cancer.

Your dog might be calmer and more affectionate, and less likely to get some diseases.
