The question leads to the answer. You are asking the question because your unsatisfied with the way your life is now. That's the first step.

What you've done so far is attempt to change your behavior. That's good, but it won't succeed. You have to change your identity, who you believe yourself to be.

You see yourself as an addict. So you will always be an addict, no matter how hard you try to quit. You must come to see yourself not as an addict, but as someone who has made a big mistake, who can make a new choice in life.

Whether you know it or not, you're just like the rest of humanity...everyone has additions in their makup. What matters are the choices each of us make when we come to the point where those choies are to be made. And what guides our choices is our perception of who we are.

There is a possibility of something greater for you, you are someone who can have an extraordinary life, filled with love, joy, freedom, abundance. You are not bound to living the same droll life till you die. You can make a difference in your own life as well as the life of others. Discover who you are and you will be at a place where you have the power to alter your destiny.

Well, I dont do drugs at all, it has never even intersted me. But I suspect that my life is in fact a bit better than being high all the time, and 'using' my life away without even knowing. I make a stack of money ... because I'm living in reality; I have a beautiful one year old daughter, whom I doubt I'd have if I was on drugs and I cant even imagine the problems that drugs would have led to in that pregnancy; and a stunning husband, who also doesnt use drugs, and is working in a high powered job. We like to go boating on the weekend, which it is illegal to do under the influence of any form of substance, and have a great deal of fun skiing, going out, riding horses, mountain climbing.... all of which I would assume, would be quite difficult on drugs.
Get help... and get off drugs. The fact you are even asking this question means you want something better. You KNOW that getting off drugs IS better. Go get help from your doctor, do it now. And dont waste anyones time, do it properly.

You think you have a good life now, because you are experiencing a false high, a false sense of uphoria..this is how the devil lures you in and then destroys your life...you don't realize it now, but you are going to look horrible, you will end up with unneccesary health problems. and you still are not going to fix those things that are causing you pain...you are just masking them now with drugs. I am not putting you down, because you are just trying to cope the best you can, which is NOT to...I hope you can pray to God, through His Son, Jesus, for some help and guidance, and to give you the strength to stop this...why let something like a substance, destroy who you are? people will look at you and brand you as a druggy, not the sweet, charming, talented smart girl you probably really are...get the respect you deserve, and get off the drugs...find out why you are doing this...God Bless

no you don't have to die an addict but you do have to do something about your problem or you Will die an addict. first ask yourself do you want to quit? than quit; yes it is that easy to do. Don't try to quit for the rest of your life just quit for right now and for right now don't get high remember for right now and it is always right now so when you get to a day that is not right now than you can get high see ain't that easy? Remember right now you don't get high

I am sure you'll stop when it stops being fun...when the panic attacks set in. Don't know anyone who's previously hammered it hard who hasn't decided to stop due to this...and they were the lucky ones. A few of my old firends have ended up permanently schizophrenic. Be careful. There's nothing glamourous about being housebound for the rest of your life, too doped up on legal and essential medication and too paranoid to leave the house.

well, no offense, but yes, i am leading a better life than that.

The alternative is to pick one of the 12 step programs that relates to ANY addiction you have - it doesn't matter if you start with AA or NA or whatever.

I bet they have a local phone number, you can find a meeting today, and talk to someone who understands on the phone today.

Just because you want to live a pure clean life, doesn't mean you are straight edge. It just means you want to take care of yourself. That name just makes people feel important, like they belong to something. Do it for yourself, not because you idolize other people with flashy titles.

K.S.E.O.C for life!
