dont tell me the cars wont stick cuz the people in nascar are much smarter than that, and they could make it were they throw a yellow if its during the race and make everybody put on rain tires then throw another yellow when the race track dries out to put on dry rubber

makes since to me and make them qualify with rain tires too if its raining

did you ever try to drive a stock car at almost 200 mph in circles in the rain? even with the very best rain tires it would look like the worlds biggest demolition derby. some of those cars have a hard time keeping traction on a dry day IE spinning or crashing into the wall. they are stock cars not f1 cars which are built for running on road courses in the rain. stock cars are built for one thing going fast and turning left and that wont happen in the rain

F1 cars are lighter and have much more downforce, road courses have run offs instead of walls, and the speeds are lower. Open wheel cars like the IRL and Cart also don't race in the rain on ovals. Perhaps they are onto something here.

Goodyear has not been able to make a durable rain tire for road courses either.

I agree with you but im sure the cars will handle weird if they have to keep changing tires. I wish nascar would try to find a way to race in the rain but i dont see it happenin in the cup series or on an oval at least for a long time. Totally agree because im tired of waitin for the race this week.

NASCAR has used both on selective roadourses. But these are not practical for an oval that speeds touch 200 mph.Infact with the momentum and centrfical force rain tires would be a poor choice for an oval venue at all.

NASCAR race automobiles are made for racing in optimal circumstances, without regard to the climate or something in nature. that's why they could save the music clean. the reason of the kind of super variety of cautions. the automobile is a elementary overall performance piece of equipment, and it quite is stripped down and geared up lower back up with in basic terms the advancements of performing decrease than the perfect circumstances, the place the optimal effects could properly be produced. including better aspects which includes windshield wipers, are situation to fail and with the better electric powered aspects from headlights, will develop the possibility of those aspects failing. including aspects to a stripped down inventory automobile could be a waste, and attempt of conceitedness, to alter what became not a ingredient interior the 1st place. NASCAR needs the main suitable effects, that can in basic terms be attained interior the perfect circumstances. and absolutely everyone else noted the protection subject concerns, which includes floor touch section and mass of the automobile, and the hydroplaning result. So if we set conceitedness aside, and enable the climate dictate as quickly as we are waiting to race decrease than optimal circumstances, then we could have the main suitable effects. that's quite how NASCAR works. So next time you notice them throw a warning for a touch piece of debris on the music, you will understand that NASCAR isn't fxxking around, and that they don't look to be going to whine approximately racing interior the rain. that's all or not something. bear in thoughts, even however you notice adult men employing Toyota's, NASCAR continues to be an American game. Made interior the united statesA. and on a point all of it's very own.

Stock cars are too heavy to handle the high speeds they run with rain tires on. It would create an unsafe situation for drivers, crews, and spectators in the stands. The rain cuts down on visibility and visibility is poor in today's stock cars as it is. It just would not be safe and as you can see with the ugly but safer car of tomorrow, safety is NASCAR's primary concern.

I think Jimmie Spencer explained this once, thats because the cars are much heavier and the rain tires wouldn't work, it works in Formula 1, but the Formula 1 cars are lightere than the Nascar cars. Thats a great idea but I don't think that it would work.
