I keep a mutated being that was once a cauliflower we now call him Fred, he lives off gone off meat and milk, and is currently studying for his degree (correspondence course) in biotechnology.
Aside from that fresh veg, leftovers, sandwich meat, milk cheese, mayonnaise mustard, beer, white wine erm there's probably other stuff but cant recall

I shop every day for fresh food only so, my fridge is always topped up. I haven't got a freezer and I wouldn't have one as a gift. Why buy fresh food to freeze it? it takes away the flavours and of course it's NOT fresh when it's thawed and think of all that extra leccytrickery!!!!

Less than when I first read your question. I chucked out a mouldy orange I had forgotten about, cheese saved for a topping and now too hard to use, and some well-past-sell-by eggs. That leaves about a dozen onions (why can't you buy them loose or in small packets in corner shops any more? They'll be the next thing to chuck.) Milk, milk, milk. And yesterday's leftovers to save me cooking today - though whipping up something from leftovers can take as long as cooking from scratch.
