Depends how old they are.
But Central Park Zoo & Central Park would be good.
Take them to the Rockefeller center i'm sure they'd love the lift as it all lights up & everything!!
The Bear Factory of 5th ave..45th street i think. Madame Tussuad's, The big toys 'r' us on Times Square.
A bus tour!
Boat Tour.
There are beaches, i didn't go myself but you could always check them out!
Have a great time!

I'd say depending on their age - usually Central Park, Grand Central Station including the museum street right across from Central Park (includes the Gougenheim). Stay away from huge tourist attractions bc/ you see less for more, and it's not worth the craziness. Do, get a picture of all of you in the middle of Times Square. YOu can be a tourist just about anywhere in NYC.

I agree with everyone else, but you have got to visit FAO Schwarz. It's an awesome toy store, they have cool demonstrations and life sized stuffed animals, they have candy and build-your-own workshops. It's a great place:

Times Square. It's now a haven for families. You have the Disney Store, Madame Trussauds museum, movie theaters with huge screens.
