How to get rid of blackheads

1.Avoid greased products, including oil-based makeup and overly thick creams.

2.Don't use soap or other harsh cleansers on your face.

3.Exfoliate often using a product that contains beta hydroxy acids or alpha hydroxy acids, which can penetrate the skin and clear pores thoroughly.

4.Certain medications, such as birth control pills, can actually cause skin breakouts.

5.Avoid oily foods. Instead, eat foods high in beta-carotene, like carrots, cantaloupe, and other yellow-orange fruits and veggies.

6.If you have blackheads, don't pick at or squeeze them.

7.Applying beta hydroxy acid to the face on a regular basis has been shown to help get rid of blackheads.

Different things will work for different people. Here are some things you can do:
1. Make sure that you are washing your face with a gentle cleanser twice daily. I personally use the Proactiv cleanser but you might find one that works for you. Sometimes people use cleansers that are so hard on the skin, that the skin actually makes more oil to try to compensate. So using a more gentle cleanser for about a week or so might help.
2. Use a toner/astringent after you cleanse.
3. Make sure that you change the sheets on your bed and your towel regularly. I find that this makes a big difference for me.
4. See a dermatologist for additional advice.

Steam your face and then pat it dry. It will open up your pores. Immediately use a pore pack such as Biore or ZA brand over your nose. Let it dry and peel it off. The blackheads will come off too. No squeezing. Will force them in deeper to become pimples. Exfoliating regularly helps too.

Always make sure to keep your face clean. Wash it 2-3 times a day with medical soap or whenever you feel sweaty. Apply toner right after each time you wash your face. Use neutogena black head treatments..they are really good

For me, I use Cellnique's Pro Sebum Gel to loosen the blacckheads so it's easier for my facial therapist to extract them when I go for my monthly facials. :)

To keep them away, I exfoliate [DIY aspirin masks, Laneige Strawberry Peeling Gel], do masks [Kose Mask White] regularly and use Neutrogena Pore Refining Cleanser on a daily basis.

Where are they? Your forehead, your checks, your nose? Each area has different problems. The best bet is to talk to your local pharmasist, they can point you towards the right treatment.
