i got up to 315 lbs when i was overseas, and it took about 3 months, plus i drank at least 1 protein shake a day, and drink plenty of milk for the protein and to keep your bones strong. at the time i weighed 175 lbs. there was a guy in my platoon though who put up 315 lbs and he only weighed 160 or so.

also, maybe test your max like every other week or so, and don't be afraid to push yourself and stack on weight, that's probably what made the most difference with me. make sure you use a spotter too.

It's all based on your routine and diet. I suggest bumping your calories up to support muscle growth and following a strength/powerliftng routine to get there. Try doing 5 sets of 5 reps at 80% of your 1 rep max. Throw some complimentary chest exercises in there and your will gain.

It will take a little time to gain 40lbs on bench... maybe a couple months of hard training and good eating. Just be consistent.

I dont know about your body structure etc but generally it all depends on the type of exercise you do. according to text book you should try to do (after warm up) sets of 4-6 reps and once in a while go for 1 rep max, and if you have good training partner you can use their help to do negative sets too, which are really good for improving strength. you can put on 30lbs bench in about 3-6 month i would imagine but it all depends on your biology so i my guess could be totally wrong... good luck either way

i could wager by using your early 20's you will get there. not at all bench extra desirable than 2x a week. And, in basic terms heavy the 1st day. Then, supply your physique (chest/triceps) a minimum of two or 3 days relax and particularly some water. extra, you could desire to additionally commence doing deadlits and squats for entire physique capability.

Not long, you take these disky things and slide them on the end of the shafty thing. Or just pull the pins on the stack.
