If homosexuality is a disease, let's all call in queer to work:  "Hello.  Can't work today, still queer."

I don't believe I'm holier-than-thou. I just hate when people associate homosexuals with being anti-christian.

Laughed out loud. Thanks for the grin.

But, on reflection, it looks to me to have things kind of backwards. Rather than a reason not to come into work ...

Someone who displays the capacity to experience emotional, spiritual, and sexual fulfillment in partnership with an individual of their own gender in this homophobic, unkind, and religiously intolerant society ... and can laugh about it all ... is a person who deserves a work promotion.

I was just going to star this and then pass on - but then I saw the remark from Theoneustos.
May I suggest, sir, that you take a trip to Darfur and tell the people in the camps there that they are in their situations as a result of decisions they have taken.
Arrogance is less attractive than compassion!

(Yes, I like the quote. I just dislike the judgementalism that such things always bring up.)

You're kidding right?
Most of these people think they'll get aids even if they joke about themselves being Gay.

I think it's a great quote. Funny as can be!
Makes me wonder if there's a cure for Christianity (the bigot kind that doesn't love..wait they love the sinner but HATE the sin...maybe send the sin to hell so the sinner gets a break...sure unless they're GAY!)

God is love.
God loves you.
Even the Gays.

i agree completely.

being gay isn't a choice. neither is eye color, skin color, or height. it's something you're born with.

i will never understand the attitude of some people. how is someone else's sexual preference affecting their life? it doesn't, and yet some of them are intolerant to the point of being abusive.

people are basically all the same. why is that so hard for some to grasp?

If homosexuality is a disease then heterosexuality is one also. Those who say homosexual people choose their sexuality therefore heterosexual people must choose theirs also.Lets set the record strait. YOU DO NOT CHOOSE YOUR SEXUAL ORIENTATION. IT IS GIVEN TO YOU BY GOD.

Christians do not bash others - "gay" or otherwise. Jesus died for "gays" too and God loves them equally. Spiritual pride is a very grave sin and so is your holier-than-thou attitude.

How does this quote fit in 1 Cor 10:23-24?

Answer: This quote is meaningless when you look at the underling cause: One sex preference suppressing all others.

Homosexuality isn't a disease, it's a choice. Many people think they " have Jesus", and actually only have themselves and their egos. Jesus never endorsed homosexuality.
