No, I refuse to suspend disbelief. Intellectual integrity is more important to me than the cozy deceit of religion.

I believed when I was a child much like I believed in the easter bunny or santa claus. After awhile I awoke from my brainwashed coma which most people never do in their lifetime. The belief that a cosmic jewish zombie that is his own father can make you live forever if you symbolically eat his flesh and telepathically let him know that he's your master so that he can remove sin from your soul in humanity because a woman who was created from a man's rib was talked into by a talking snake to eat an apple from a magical tree is pretty hard to prove huh? Religion has never done anything but hinder me from living my life to it's fullest (no I don't drink or do drugs) to spend the most time with loved ones I can instead of wasting half of my life worshiping an egotistical being that was written about more than 400 years after his death.

Not exactly. When you say God, that conjures a certain image, which is nothing like what I believe in. When people ask me, I usually just say no.

Yes, and my belief has helped me beat depression and gain confidence. It also allows me to see and truly appreciate the astounding beauty of the miracle of life.

By the way, this question has been asked TWENTY FIVE THOUSAND, NINETY FIVE TIMES. (I know this because it tells you how many similar questions there are when you go to ask this.)

Yes. The only reason I didn't commit suicide was because I didn't want to disappoint God.

No. Of course when I was a child I thought as a child (thanks for the quote, Paul) so I believed in all sorts of fables and fantasies.
