Was he mad because he was jealous?

Question

close friends for years and he's liked me since then; he's the "shy type" yet comfortable telling me things and never had girlfriend.
Beg of this yr, i fell for him deeply and we "got together" (gave him his first kiss, cuddles, holding hands, 1st base - innocent).
BUT we decided to stay friends and not rush things. After this, he was going through a hard time with tragedy and we haven't really talked.

about a month ago we texted, he heard about a guy liking me and just was asking about him (i think he wanted to hear my reaction) and after i said this line:
(i'll try w. someone else, its too bad he's far away) that's when he started acting like an A S S and telling me how to play the game and that i should be with other
guys so they could get with me - very rude.

Someone told me it's because he was jealous and was so hurt and sad that i had moved on - why would it bug him so much? The truth is, i never stopped loving him
but i don't want a relationship. If he "didn't care",why would it matter IF i did stop liking him?

we're in college btw...sad, huh?

No, not sad... why do people assume that having multiple relationships is happy? And less is sad? WHO CARES WHAT WE THINK!!!! Were just as lost as you, luckily I'm on here not pretending I can't figure it out, so I've got some great grammer for you. Frist off my favorite quote!!!!

Old chinese proverb to, got to love those guys! Ether way what this means for you is that you, frist need to also understand something else, just because you say "lets be friends" means pretty much nothing, its a flawed concept, its a bs ideal, its an impossibility, its a tradedy, it is one of the reason our western society sucks major butt. Ether way you can't just end love, you can't just stop feelings, you can't just end momentom, when you do, CRASH! Which is exactly whats going on, instead of you guys staying friends you became something much, much uglier, associates, no real need to share you feelings, no reason to relate you ideas and thoughts, becasue you guys just put an end to it, to do that would mean picking up right were you left off. See friends becoming lovers is a natural things, its actually (sorry if this grosses you out or something) startes right at the beganing. You can't have friendship with out love!!! How disney is that! Ether way just because you guys descided to get aaallll touchie feelie, you descide that was moving to fast??? Youngins alright ;), ether way you guys went and did something classical (doesn't mean right) thats very unatural. Namely still have a friendship, when you just ended the friendship. Thats the truth to what you did, but thats not the way you guys are thinking its going. But thats why he's jealous and thats why you still also care, becasue your just hiding what the friendship grew into, which anytime you stop relationship growth, you stopped the relationship.... so ether you guys get right back were you left off, or CRASH.... goes the relationship, its just the nature of it, should of thought about this stuff before touchin and feelin, becasue I don't care what mtv, porn, or howard stiern whats to believe, sex, sexuall contanct, and any from of intimacy, is POWERFUL, so always proceed with caution.... and never take a step forward that you believe might make you want to take a step back, relationships don't work in reverse, which is what you guys have just ran into..... sorry about that, they don't teach us the truth of these things, because they don't understand it ether.... but it DOESN'T mean you guys go off and get married, but it does mean you guys what to keep a friendship? KEEP TALKING HONESTLY AND RELATING TRUTHFULLY, which you've stated a couples times you've lied about, you want more then just to be assoicates feeling bad for trying to be friends and failed, you want your old friend back!!! SO darnit just because you guys got all touchie doesn't mean anything, unless you let it, of course it does force you two to be more grown-up, then grown-ups actually, so go beat those old fogies!!

hell naw.. i'm proud to confirm them bypass shirtless.. yet for pete's sake~~pull your freaking pants up~~no person needs to confirm the crotch of them putting all the way down to you knees.. nor do i opt to confirm your drawers...
