Why do you attempt to gain comedic pleasure at the expense of peoples beliefs?

A persons beliefs are basically who they are, so you for making fun of a Mormon are no better than someone who makes fun of blacks or Mexicans...

I do not understand why people have to revert to this childish ignorant form of entertainment.

EDIT: LOL, you are actualy serious, I thought you were just trying to be mean, well in that case I am sorry.

It usually takes anywhere from a week or two up until a month. If you haven't received it in a month, I would suggest calling the patriarch and inquiring about it. Waiting awhile is not iunusual. They have a lot to transcribe onto paper and also record it at the main church headquaters in Salt Lake City, Utah.

It usually takes 2-4 weeks.. When you got it the person giving it should have told you an estimate of how long it would take for you to receive it..

Keep in mind most often the person giving it also types it up and if there has been a family emergency he will be behind schedule..

Hi there, congratulations on your blessing. I got my back very quickly but he had told me it would be 2 to 4 weeks and if I didn't get it in about 5 weeks to call him. I am sure its coming soon. My patriarchal blessing was a wonderful experience and he told me to write in a journal the experience of the day. I just went back and reread it. It was really neat to reread the events of the day.

Mine only took a few days. I just went over the the patriarch's house and picked it up. Congrats on getting a PB. Mine has always been of great comfort to me it has provided me direction and guidance in the decisions that I have needed to make in life.

It might take a while... it depends on how long it takes it to get transcribed from the recording. If it makes you feel better, the record will also be filed with the Church, so if you want to get a copy later on you can get it from Church records.

That is so fabulous that you got your patriarchal blessing! I hope you read it often and follow it.

Calm down...it takes about a month to 6 weeks. I have requested a copy of mine from Salt Lake City and haven't gotten it yet and it's been nearly a month.

Depends on the patriarch. Sometimes a little gentle prodding is necessary. You can also ask your stake president. The patriarch reports to the stake president, and he can help hurry up a slow patriarch.

After I recieved my patriachal blessing (greatest experience ever!) My family and I went to a restaurant (it was saturday). While we were eating the patriach came in and talked to my dad. Then he told me he had my copy in his pick-up and would I like to get it. I was super shocked, but went with him and I got my copy then and there. Hardly an hour after he had given me the blessing, and I already had the copy. I hope you get it soon! They are a great source of comfort.

I don't remember it has been so long ago.

Just remember that he has to type it up. He is probably a very busy man. If it has been two weeks, maybe call him, and make sure he has your correct address.
