I don't think that this kind of dress is appropriate for the office. What exactly are you trying to accomplish wearing this type of outfit to work each day? There are other things you can wear that will make you look hip and young, and also get you noticed by all your coworkers, that won't give you a reputation for being the office ****.
Try putting on something that is sophisticated enough to wear to work, yet fitting enough to go out for cocktails in after wards. Dress with a purpose, while dressing with style and reserve and you'll be the talk of the office... the good talk that is.

I don't think cleavage or short skirts are appropriate in the office at all. The office is a place to handle business requires a professional atmosphere. If someone chooses to wear that outside of the office that's totally fine.
I think there's a time and a place for everything. The office is not the place for low, tight shirts and short skirts.

The office is not the appropriate place for cleaveage and too-short skirts. Some shorter skirt lengths as part of a business suit are okay as long as you can stand and sit comfortably without having to tug on the hem or adjust the skirt. The blouse, sweater, or jacket should always be modest. Women in the workplace should be showing off their intelligence, not their physical attributes.

It depends on the office. Do you work at the Playboy Mansion? If so, then it is probably a requirement.
If you work at most anywhere where a professional attitude is expected, I would say no.
The office is a workplace, and cleavage and short skirts are for playtime, not work time!
Cheers :-)

Mini's and ultra mini's are taboo. Obviously you aren't to high up the corporate ladder if you have to ask about cleavage. Dress for respect and be age appropriate. If you are twenty something you don't want to dress like forty something and vice versa. I recommend going to Macy's, Sears, Nordstrom's women's apparel, get someone to assist you in fitting and style. Often a great outfit looks bad because it doesn't fit the wearer.
If the prices are out of your budget you will still know what your looking for. Remember to buy clothing that you can mix/ match and is well made. I shy away from things that are to trendy, classics will get you by for years.
This year gray is the new black. Happy shopping.

I feel that any person should be able to wear what they want, when they want and where ever they want to!
I have known ladies to wear short skirts and occasionally show cleavage to the office. If that is what they want to do then they should be able to do it!

No it is not okay to wear blouses or shirts that show clevage or short skirts in a business environment. You are working for a business and should dress professionally. If you want to wear such things, get a job in a bar. If you want to be a professional than dress and act accordingly.

this is a difficult question. it really depends on your body. most people would say no, but if you are shaped in a similar manner as myself - small waist, large bust, medium hips - you can make a t-shirt look provocative, so... the short skirt issue, however, is a quick no.
i don't wear turtlenecks and high collared shirts, but i try on every top at the store to ensure that there isn't too MUCH going on outside the shirt boundaries.

Depends what you job is. if your working with children or something then no. However if you show a bit on legs (so not a very short skirt) or cleavage its OK if your happy with it.

If you're the receptionist at the corporate offices for a porno movie production company, then, yes. Otherwise, dress professionally.
