JW's do not allow their opposite sex children and teens to be alone together. They do not date with a grown-ups until they are "of age". They do not have sex before marriage. They do not smoke. They do not use illegal drugs. They do not give or take blood. They do not celebrate the normal holidays that you are used to nor birthdays. They do not have anything to do with human laws...such as none are policemen, lawyers, judges, ect, they also will not serve on jury duty. The family will more than likely accept you IF you are sincere about wanting to be of this religion and follow their doctrines and practices.

A real devout JW will not have sex before marriage (this is part of their doctrine). But take some time to think things over. Converting to another religion is a serious issue one should not take lightly and it gets even more decisive if you want to do this for a boy. If you wish to convert because you believe JWs are better religion than yours then by all means go for it but convert because you fell in love with this boy… hey… that’s not even a realistic motive…

STOP! DONT! Im sorry but your boyfriend is wrong. Why would you convert? Should't your love for God be first. Sorry but I have studied and have had many discussions with several JWs and I cant get over how wrong they are. Again Im sorry but you really need to think this through.

don't compromise your beliefs for him. they're far more important than anyone you'll ever meet. but if that's what you wanna do...
you will slowly be absorbed an assimilated into the jehovah witness collective. if you enjoy, more power to ya.
one might suggest looking into the doctrinal beliefs of the church before you decide on this. you think standard dispensationalism is silly? get a load of their stuff. 144 thousand ppl go to heaven, and everyone else dies in Sheol.
if his family won't accept you, that's their problem. but i beg of you, don't go down this road. you'll regret it someday.

Are you just converting so you can marry him? Then I would say the family would not accept you.

Count your beans before you begin to cook them.Investigate thoroughly before you take a final step.Converts remain what they are and can never hope to be equal to the originals, that's the unwritten truth.

do not convert just to be with him. look at whjat you believe and what he believes and seek God in it. God iis more important than your love for him just now. if after prayer you believe it iswhat God has planned for you then talk more with him anout your nelives and his. if you say you can change religion so easily I do not think you even have any true believe in God. seek God first.

Friend, better think very very carefully. You must really really love him to really really change for him. I said change for him. And my advise is 'be yourself'. You don't change for a person, but change for God.
