I do know about AA, but I still want to put my son in an alcohol rehab because a doctor has told me that that would increase his chances of getting better sooner and it will also decrease the likelihood of relapse. We don't have enough money for this, though. Any suggestions?

You can get a grant from the government. You can also use the second link below to find alcohol rehabs and ask them about their rates and whether they are willing to give you a discount or have you pay off the bills at a later date. If that doesn't work, though, you'll just have to make do with AA. After all, a lot of people have been changed because of joining that.
