9/11 was a huge disaster, and it affected a LOT of people.
It's in the very human nature to want answers, so chances are, people aren't just going to drop it, atleast not untill we know exactly what happened, and reject ALL the other theories.

1. We should not just "let 9/11 go." We should remember it forever, and the over 3,000 people who died that day!!!
2. Only idiots who cannot accept the FACTS are still arguing about what happened. What happened was what everyone in THE WORLD saw happening on 9/11... no MORE... NO LESS!
But I cannot see what this question has anything to do with Etiquette... it's more a political question.

The minute we sent Israel several F-15 and F-16 fighter jets, we were destined for a terrorist attack. Not only should we NOT let 9/11 go, we should strengthen our inner defenses to protect us from American wackos as well. (e.g. Timothy McVeigh).
Forget arguing what happened and why....plain and simple, they waited for up to go to the bathroom, then caught us with our pants down. Our country had grown, fat, lazy, complacent, and oblivious to just how "involved" our government has been in foreign relations.
9/11 should NEVER be forgotten. Innocent blood was shed. Nobody involved deserved any type of sneak punishment like that. Cowardly bastards.
Remember what your flag stands for.....UNITY and FREEDOM.

I only agree that this shouldn't be in this category!
I think TV networks should devote time every day to the clip of the towers being attacked. We should never forget, or forgive, the cowardly act.
I know in war soldiers get killed, but the people in the towers weren't soldiers.
Let it go? We should nuke them all, let their Allah sort them out.

George Bush Sr. owned New York city, George Jr. drove the air plane into the twin towers, and Michael Moore planned the whole thing !!! How about coffee with Elvis Presley at the Hard Rock Cafe - John Lennon and George Harrison are serving ? One thing you can bet on, more Atheists believe the conspiracy theory than Christians !!!

And let the future leaders know that its easy to hide the truth? No, we're only fighting for what we believe. Maybe we're wrong but you've got to prove us wrong!

It can't be let go. It has opened up many cans of worms. They try to play down the fact that it happened because of religion.
