Weightlifting definitely helps. Some like yoga or pilates. Additionally, concentrate on good posture whether sitting, standing, or walking. Go to a bodywork therapist at least for one, maybe more sessions.

Sometimes the body sags when it is in a state of unfitness or unwellness. It would be a good idea to determine which of these applies to yourself. If you are just unfit rather than unwell exercising, starting gently and building up would be of benefit. Leaving out all foods which overtax the system such as;

All processed foods
White sugar/ flour/ cakes/ buns/ tea/ coffee/ alcohol.etc

Do not feed your body synthetic chemicals.

All this is actually easier than you think.

If you can do it, twice a week eat only fruit/ good quality soup for one or two days.
Eat lots of fruit and veg; Salads....stir fries ........eat raw food often and plentiful.

Make bed time a sensible 10-30 ish.

Always, always, always invest in a good quality mattress. If your mattress is worn this could be a contributary factor to your posture proble.

It is advisable to renew your mattress within seven years. Never longer.

A firm comfortable mattress is imperitive if you want to stay well.

Join a yoga class.
Do daily stretching excercises.
Start cycling, doing little distances to start..
Get lots of fresh air.

If this does not improve matters then you may have to investigate your health status.

I can recommend pilates. I have been doing it for about 10 months now, and have noticed a difference in my posture, I am also getting less back pain.

According to the Physio sheet I have, you need to do back exercises that are done on your back.

Some of these include arching back, rolling hips side to side and shoulders as well as sit ups and arm stretches behind your head.

As these exercises are for me, it is advised that you seek proper medical advice because you do not realise just how important your back is until you hurt it.
