Reincarnation isn't a choice, its a law and its the soul that reincarnates not you. What that means is while one is an expression of the soul, they aren't the soul only an essence of it, like a seed. So basically the individual doesn't really decide anything, it's not their decision if they get reincarnated or not. The laws of God compel this cyclic nature until you become perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect (Mat 5:48). Transmigration of souls isn't for no reason, it is an means to an end, its about soul development and eventual oneness with God.
This is a small part from the Zohar, a newish mysticism,
“All souls are subject to the trials of transmigration; and men do not know the designs of the Most High with regard to them… The souls must re-enter the absolute substance whence they have emerged. But to accomplish this end they must develop all the perfections, the germ of which is planted in them; and if they have not fulfilled this condition during one life, they must commence another, a third, and so forth, until they have acquired the condition which fits them for reunion with God”.

umm, christians believe in reincarnation? LOL, thats funny. But this is a great question. You have the choice-yes even choice after you leave this body of where you wanna go next. You are energy and remember, energy cannot be destroyed, it just transforms. I have found the book The Handbook of the Navigator by Eric J Pepin to be very helpful in answering this question. A must is to go through life questioning everything and raising your conscious level higher because sweetie, if you are still doing the bible thing, then you aren't living your life to its greatest potential. Religion has been the biggest form of slavery to date. So look outside of religion and go to the inner self. And get that book!

i does not choose to stay to be a million,000 years previous mutually as donning a physique. there is plenty to benefit, the human type could ought to alter extensively for the innovations to have the skill to benefit all that one individual can learn in a million,000 years. If humankind does not smarten up, i do no longer choose to stay yet another 12 years. i think of of dying as a blessing. i'm able to continuously come back if i choose. The physique is this variety of small element of what i'm that it relatively is extremely insignificant. i'm residing - at this 2d - in lots of circumstances and in lots of bodies. i'm continuously evolving. that's a competent gadget. sturdy enoough that it has worked for no less than 13.7 billion years.

I totally was talking with my husband about this the other day. I think it would be crazy to come back as an alien in some more advanced civilization. I desperately hope there is reincarnation. I couldn't imagine just being done with all the goods and bads that come with living. I mean, heaven and all sounds super cool, but it'd be way awesome to come back as something different and try this whole crazy life thing again.....
I love that you asked this!!!! I think you were reading my mind (:

It can't be a matter of choice, other wise we would have had the likes of Hitler,Stalin and such other monsters back here on this earth and starting their businesses, from where they had left. What Jesus said may have been a subjective pointer.I have no idea of forced return but may be,some kind of automatic procedure exists or may be not.

Reincarnation is a choice we wholeheartedly make while "over there", and a choice we come to regret wholeheartedly while "over here". ;-) I do believe in reincarnation to some extent, just not in the manner most people think of the term. It's more a Buddhist type of reincarnation to me - the ego/id still dies, but the underlying spark of awareness - having been molded by the ego and the id - continues on. IOW, what you normally think of as "I" will cease to exist forever, but the part of you that matters to the universe at large will never end.
IOW, the part of you that carries on has chosen to cloth itself in the garb of you for the duration of your lifetime, but the "I" to emerge within you is of this world entirely. It comes from this world, and it stays in this world. The only part you carry with you is the part that accompanied you here to begin with.

interesting question.
If reincarnation exists, I believe it is a choice. But it's a choice you will ultimately want to make again and again until you attain enlightenment or whatever the hidden meaning of life is.
Your soul, which has knowledge of the goal in life, will want to try again, regardless of what your conscious mind says.
that's my take on it. if i were more certain of life after death, i'd believe that. :)

reincarnation is not a choice, it is a necessity. We have to keep returning until we have learned all of our lessons. That choice that we can make is what lesson we want to work on next, so there is choice, but not yes or no, just where and when.

As far as I know reincarnation is not a Christian belief. For those that believe in it, it's not a choice. You must keep coming back because one lifetime isn't enough to learn all you must to reach the state of nirvana(perfection).

Reincarnation is the natural outcome of one's storehouse of karma. It isn't voluntary, although I've read that the human form is the most desireable form in all of creation and all the spiritual beings in the astral, causal and super-causal regions are hoping to get human form so they can reach the pure spiritual regions which can only be obtained through human form.
