UCLA has a beautiful campus, great sculpture collection and it worth a walk. Check out San Vicente blvd in brentwood interesting shops and restaurants (visit duttons brentwood books for example) Westwood village is only ok.. However you can also see Marylin Monroe's crypt at the cemetery behind the Avco theaters on willshire.

Well I imagine you are asking about the Getty Center in LA, and not the Getty Villa in Malibu. As not many people are aware that there is another museum.

The Getty itself is really not close to anything, as in right down the street. However, you are within a few miles of Santa Monica, that has the Santa Monica Pier and 3rd Street Promenade. There is also have Beverly Hills, Hollywood, and Universal Studios. Also close by to Hollywood is the Farmers Market and Grove Center.
