I am no athiest, but it definitely makes some obvious points that have to be questioned. More truth in this book than the bible.

It's good. Hitchens is excellent. Look up some of his vids on youtube.

Agreed. Hitchens is not a man to be reserved about his criticisms. Loved his stories about 'what if you met a group of men coming.....would you be happier to know they were coming out of a prayer meeting............and he lists the places with B and describes why not.

The book is brash and bold and will offend many (well maybe not if they don't read it as I suspect) but it uncovers some real issues that need clarification by those who claim religion as a force of good.

And yes it makes much more sense than the bible, but how many books don't?

I would just love to see ANY of us stand before God like Job had to, and answer God's questions! BET! that persons points will fade to NOTHING See I won't waste valuable time exploring any book that tells the lie, that it has more truth than the Bible, The fact is RELIGION is the worst thing to happem to man, since Adam's sin

Don't confuse religion with God. They are distinct

Now, compare: your book, first three volumes of Conversations with God by Neale Walsch, and the Bible. Which is clearer!

Im about 1/3 way through. At first, I didnt think I was going to like it - I felt the title was a bit strong, and that perhaps I would disagree with it. Im finding myself appalled at the history he describes, and finding myself agreeing with his sentiment... It really can and does poison everything...

I have not read it.But the title will be added to my list of must reads. The title alone is compelling and honest enough to strike an interest.
