A very comforting passage of scripture.

We need not fear because

(1) God's presence is with us ("I am with you"),

(2) God has established a relationship with us ("I am your God"), and

(3) God's assurance of strength, help and victory over sin and death is certain.

Isaiah 41:10

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Great verse- actually right now this verse is on my desktop of my computer. It reminds me daily , that I do not have to fear because He is with me, and He strengthens me and upholds me, What comforting words are these, especially when life is not easy, and hard things come. My life is not what I call easy, but I can be very sure that God is my rock, God is my fortress, and strength. In other words- HE NEVER FAILS!!

If you look a few verses up to Isaiah 41:8, you will find that the Lord is addressing Israel, the descendants of Abraham,who was the Lord's friend. It says, "But you, O Israel, my servant, Jacob, whom I have chosen, you descendants of Abraham my friend," Thank you for reminding me of this verse! May the Lord bless you!

I find that verse very comforting, because God meant it for all of the members of His family. Remember, that we who are Christians are grafted into Abraham. That means that all of the promises of His protection to Israel are also for us.

Galatians 3:

6. Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted to him for righteousness.
7. Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.
8. And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed.
9. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

29. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

amen
Isaiah 41:10

Do not be afraid, for I am with you, Do not be dismayed, for I am your God, I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.

It truly is a comforting verse in the bible. There are many times when we are dismayed, weak, needing help, needing support and God, Who declares Himself as Our God says that He will uphold us with the right hand of His Righteousness. Because He is righteous He will remain true to His words to us. He will be there for us. He has given His promise to us and on His part He will fulfil it. We just need to learn how to turn to the Lord. Learn how to come to Him to be supplied with all these wonderful graces. It makes no sense having such a full bank account and never withdraw anything from it. IN like manner.. we need to learn how to call upon the name of the Lord.. then the rich bountiful supply of God is available to us through the Spirit of Jesus Christ.
May we all come out of all these kind of circumstances and situations with a greater deposit of Christ in us. May the experiences of the Cross further conform us to the Image of Christ.
Praise the Lord that He works in us both the willing and the working for His good Pleasure.. that all things will work together for our good...
Its such a blessing that we HAVE God on our side... supplying us with fresh Grace each day to go on in Him.
hallelujah!

I love that verse. Even through the hardships and struggles, I must stay fearful to God and not unto the world. Many Blessings!

it's a great verse, but i think my personal favorite in the entire book of isaiah is this one...

'' 'no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. this is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is from Me,' says the LORD.'' isaiah 54:17 (nkjv)

i'm constantly telling myself that first part ("no weapon formed against you shall prosper'') whenever i'm against the odds in some situation.

The Lord is assuring us He is ALWAYS with us, we are not to be afraid He w/give us the strength we need to help us when we need Him. I believe the meaning of "His right hand" means w/the most strength He can give.

it just another affirmation of God's covenant with man. (Christian man.) Psalms 23 offers similar assurance. Makes me feel blessed because I am.
