Is she breathing? If not, call 911 immediately.

If so, have her chew up a hunk on bread and swallow it with a big gulp of water or soda. That should push the apple piece down.

It will hurt a little, but that should help.
Then no more fooling around while eating!

I had this happen to me, but with abit of meat. I went to the hospital and they gave me coke to drink but it didn't work. In the end they sent me home and said just wait for it to do its own thing when its ready, as you will be ok if you have nothing else to drink or eat for a day. Sure enough it eventually went down, so stop stressing and let things take their course.

If it's in her lungs and she can't cough it out, definitely go to the emergency room! If it's caught in her throat, and isn't having any trouble breathing, try drinking some water until you feel the piece go down. If she is having any distress, trouble breathing or pain, then go to the emergency room.
