Well, I don't really belong to any religion. I grew up a Christian, and still have that belief system, but Christianity, Judaism and Islam have so much in common - I find it very hard to believe that they are talking about three completely different entities.

One of the reasons I have gone off on my own, so to speak, is animals. A lot of Christian churches believe that our animals will not be with us in the afterlife. I believe that God would not give us such amazing gifts, only to deny us their comfort later on.

When I was about 14, I was attending a church service and something was said that both blew me away and offended the hell out of me. The pastor/minister/reverend/whatever started spewing about how all Jews were going to Hell. Since we have a long-time family friend who is Jewish, I really took issue with that. I have not spent much time in a church since. I focus more on being spiritual within myself. I meditate (prayer *is* a form of meditation) and should read the Bible more. But as for organized religion - it's not really my thing. I feel far closer to God when I'm out in my garden, or out with my animals, or floating down a river - ANYWHERE outside - than in a church. After all, a church is just a building made by man. Your heart is free to worship where ever and how ever you please.

LOL Sorry - feeling very verbose tonight.

Forget the word religion and forget denominations-
Followers of Jesus Christ are the ones that are going to heaven. If people would look to Christ instead of a religion they would understand why we believe this to be true. God reveals Himself to His people- those who believe that His Son paid the price on the Cross so that we can get to heaven. I know other people think we are "proud" to say, that we have the only way to heaven- however look at it this way- We had to humble ourselves before Christ, knowing that our sin was so bad that He had to send His perfect son, to die the death that we should have died, so that we could live forever. And a relationship with Christ is not just a ticket to Heaven- it is abundant life- There is freedom in Christ!!!

Nope. If heaven does exist, I think that good people will get there no matter what religion they are. If God is there (in whatever form) then He wouldn't let good people go to hell because they didn't believe. That defies love.

I'm also sure heaven and hell don't exist, however. So it's from a hypothetical standpoint.

hey there! =] I am a Muslim and yes, we do believe that those who believe in one Just God and all of the prophets of God (Including Jesus and Muhammed; peace be upon them) will go to paradise. Anyone who obeys the commands of The Lord and fulfills the religious duties and morals will gain a blessed life in the Hereafter (Heaven). But God is Most Generous, Most Kind, and Merciful and will forgive when one sincerely repents for their sins. But, I personally believe that anyone who has a thoughtful, kind, humble, forgiving, generous, caring, and loyal heart and does good for others will attain Heaven. Anyone who respects The Creator and His commands. (sounds like a lot but i believe it's easy to achieve)

...hope that helps! =]

well from what i have experienced in my life, i believe you don't need to be christian to make it to heaven, alot of followers of jesus and god and the angels in heaven( the sun) are blasphemers, haters, and alot of them envy. i am christian and i have been around alot of christians and the ones around me and other people were always falling to evil, to do evil things and still are till this day and they are still talking about god and praising themselves

It doesnt matter what religion one chooses, there is only one GOD, and those making it into heaven are the ones who have accepted him as their Savior.

I do not believe there is one, and only one faith or God, all humans spring from the same life force.

The insanity of all of this is beyond my comprehension.
