redownload java as you need this program
VIRUS REMOVAL STEPS:
this will be long, tedious and frustrating but it needs doing step by step
XP:
most nasties are set to reside in your restore system. clean them out and forget to close S.R. BEFORE you start clean up and they return when you reboot.
do this while OFFLINE!
start--all programs--accessories--system tools--system restore--settings--drive [ c ]--setting
check off and while there,click--hold--drag slider to 5% and recover 10% hard drive memory
control panel--internet options--general
delete:
cookies--history [ and set days to keep to 0 ]--delete temp internet files
privacy tab:
advanced--override--allow session,allow 1st party--BLOCK 3rd party [ spyware/tracking ] cookies
Recycle Bin
click on recycle bin and empty it
Disk Clean:
all programs--accessories--system tools--disk clean [ and later disk defrag ]
choose os [ c ] to clean,wait,click ok [ twice ]
now go back and do disk defrag [ seleck anylize--run or ok ]
Prefetch Folder
my computer--local disk drive [ c ]--windows--prefetch
select view--select all--press delete key on keyboard
now--IF you have any protective programs [ anti-virus--anti-spyware ] installed,NOW is the time to run those.
once you are clean, return to sytem restore and turn it back on [ reverse above instructions ].
choose to create a new restore point, name it and you're done!
Vista:
vista is a bit different, yet almost the same.
getting to internet options is the same,so look at the instructions for what to do with XP above
disable system restore:
right click computer on start page list--select properties--select system protection--uncheck os [ c ]
REMEMBER TO RESET SYSTEM RESTORE AFTER YOU ARE DONE WITH VIRUS CLEAN UP AND CREATE NEW RESTORE POINT !
disk clean & defrag
control panel--perfromance,information & tools--click disk clean up
select drive [ c ]--ok--okclick delete files
disk defrag is on the same page along with disk clean except it's called advanced tools
see XP instructions on what to do--when
again,just like XP,run your anti-virus--anti-spyware cleaners
you can get what you need for protection programs from here

ok heres what i would do. first completly unplug the internet cable or what ever you use to get on the internet from your computer that way for a while nothing else can get on your computer frm the internet. do you have a anti virus progra? if not you can download them all over the place. try download.com the thing with download.com is you can only use things for a certian number of hours or mins. depending on your internet provider sometimes you can dowload free anti virus. there is also a pretty good program call sypbot serach and destroy. i'm not sure if it deals with the actual virus but it will take care of spyware and worms. now if you don't have an anit virus program and you can't download one you will have to go out and buy one. i would suggest looking ant notan mcaffea and etrust. thos are some of the best in my opinion. now if you don't have the money or the experience to get a anti virys program and don't have a freidn that can help you you will have to wipe (aka format) the hard drive clean and basicly start with a new computer. i would suggest this as a last option. formating the hard drive will clean all viruses garented, but you will lose everything on the computer and you will have to put the operating system back on. you would probably want to have someone with alot of computer skills to do this as formating takes time patents and knowing what to do. as for keeping limewire and java. well jave runtime environment (the thing alot of games need to run, not to be confused with flash player or java script)i would suggest redownloading when you can. as for limeiwre, if you wish to keep runnig limeire i suggest getting a good antivirus. if this is too confusing email me and i can breakit down alot better so anyone can understand it.

Popups are common in adware
do you have any antispy/antivirus software? if you do have a program, try this:
1. disconnect your internet modem
2. reboot your computer in safemode (F8 at startup)
3. run the antivirus/antispy programs
4. *after you think you removed the problem* run a registry cleaner (recommend ccleaner, available for download at http://www.download.com ) and remove any registry files that can cause the spyware/adware to reinstall itself
5. *after step 4* use a program manager to detect any suspiscious startup programs, research them, and if malicious, remove them. (i recommend winpatrol from download.com)
If you do not have a antivirus/antispy program on the infected computer, use a clean computer (with internet access) and download the following software from download.com to a removable media (i suggest small capacity flash drive)
1. Avast antivirus
2. Spybot S&D
3. Adaware SE
4. CCleaner
5. Winpatrol
*6 & 7 are optional, but recommended*
6. firefox (with the extensions siteadvisor and script block)
7. spyware blaster
Run the files on the infected computer on safemode. (follow the first option after you have downloaded these programs)
if none of those work, tell me your computer brand and model so i can tell you how to do a factory reinstall
(factory reinstalls removes viruses in most case, but in exchange, you lose your computer progress)
prevention:
1. about limewire, only download mp3s. DO NOT download anything other than that. DO NOT download any file that is smaller than 1mb. 'cracked' files on the limewire network are in most cases, trojans.
2. update your software and update windows. quicktime, adobe acrobat.. etc all have vulnerabilities. software patches can prevent those vulnerabilities to be exploited.
3. update and install immunities to spyware. I recommend spybot S&D and spyware blaster. look them up at download.com
4. use avast antivirus if you plan on continuing using limewire. it features a p2p scanner, very useful. (and it's free a download.com
5. use firefox with siteadvisor and scriptblock(look them up at download.com too) firefox has far less exploits than internet explorer, and with the help of siteadvisor and scriptblock, you can avoid browser hijacks.

Now you know why limewire sucks!
You appear to have malware.
Get adaware, spybot, windows defender. All are free.
Install them.
Run them.
re-boot in safe mode.
run them again, and run ad/remove programs.
