i AGREE HE DROVE THREW INFIELDS WHICH IS A SHORTCUT. ALSO HE JUST WANTED TO RATTLE THE CAGE A LITTLE BIT AND TORE UP MILLIONS OF DOLLARS WORTH OF OTHER TEAMS RACE CARS. It was legalized cheating. NA$CAR LET him get away with anything he wanted. Before Sr. , when you ran into someone or caused a crash you got black flagged. But not Sr. . Now , if you do that the fans say you can't drive or you are a dirty driver.
I guess the difference is the driver who does it.

Was he a dirty driver, yes. Was he a cheater, no. He was a great driver who did what it took to win. The stuff he did was nothing compared to what the drivers of the 70's and early 80's did.
