This jerk tried to tell me how much he felt for me. He tried to get me to tell him that I loved him, but in the back of my mind something was not right. I asked if he had a gf, he said no, i asked if he had any complications in his life, he said no. What was that promise he made, "Oh baby, I would never lie to you." Today I find out that he has a gf, and about 5 other things that create way too much drama for me. Thank goodness I had the sense not to allow myself to fall for it.

What is it with these jerks anyway. How would he have felt if I tried to play him like he tried to play me? Don't they even care that we have feelings?

Your question my sweet is rhetorical. But as rhetoric is my second name I feel qualified to answer.

It is not that he thinks you are going to fall for it - more that he hopes you will! For hope springs eternal in the heart of man. From his perspective the problem is you didn't need to believe him enough.

All con artists work on the same principle offer someone something they really want at a reduced price. Work the averages - a number of people will fall for it.

Now I have to note here that you seem to be referring to all guys in your initial question but of course we know that not all guys are tarred with the same brush. However having been a guy for quite some time now I can say:

Some guys will BS all of the time;and
All guys will BS some of the time; but
All guys won't BS all of the time.

thanks
Joe
