The ever-presence of God is all around us, yet we do not always see Him.
When our egos do sense His presence, His Truth is felt as anxiety, fear and guilt, a reality we are too ashamed to face. Escaping, we reach for the security of our culture-hypnotics; friends, pleasure, church, music, drug, drink.
What are we really doing when we are escaping like this ?

Are we not escaping from the ever-presence informing reality, the Truth who is trying to set you free?

You see, our vanity does not allow us to be still and know this truth, for then we would become aware of the folly of pride, of what failures we have become at the hands of our lovers, leaders and problem-solvers. And, furthermore, we would be aware of what a hell "our" system is.

Or, do you prefer to be asleep while awake like those "human-batteries" feeding your unseen master-the Architect-Satan ?

Do you prefers illusion over Reality ?

What say you all ?

Rather, what does God say?

Romans 1
18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.

i don't know where you live, but i live in reality right now.

i am not feeling anything even close to anxiety when i hear about God - - - or Goddess.

i know that i believe God - Goddess is about love and truth - not about giving me a gift (like free will) and beating me for opening and using it (like sending me to Hell).

the Christian concept of God, in my faith, must be false. To think that this is the only way God is would mean God is an awful being - much worse than Satan.

I agree with you. As a Christian, I find that religion produces toxic guilt and shame. Why? ... Because religion is not authentic Christianity. Religion is the means by which its adherents attempt to coax God into accepting him or her more, by performing various deeds and ritualistic works. When the religious person fails to live up to this standard, he or she is impacted with guilt and shame. The person then, tends to attempt to medicate on the things you mention. Religion chokes the reality out of Christianity !
Authentic Christianity is based on faith, grace and Jesus Christ apart from humanistic attempts to gain favour from God by performing external works. Authentic Christianity is based in a relationship with God - not fear-mongering "if only I can be a better person" external works. Little wonder religious folk are always performance-centered and suffer the consequences of toxic guilt and shame. Wasn't it the legalistic practices of the religious leaders (Pharisees) of Jesus' day while on earth, that caused them to plot, to murder Jesus Christ ? They had their very own code of conduct and medicated therein. Nothing like religious spiritual pride !!!

If you do not see God in everything, you might want to have your eyes checked.

God is the good and the bad; the high and the low; the white and the black; the serpent and the rainbow; the hot and the cold; the Jew and the Arab; King George and Martin Luther King Jr; the Klansman and the priest; me and you.

Sweet Pea when you say his truth is felt as all these negative things, it's not God or the truth it is the Devil. God is of no evil act, only Satan. God comes to love, save and heal. The devil seeks to kill, steal, and destroy. Good luck!
