Write this down. Its funny. Oh- ignore that idiot who said you should watch more carefully. If you are like me you were cleaning up a mess he just made or trying to change the baby's diaper or making his lunch or.... something else and it only took a second. Once my newborn baby boy peed while we were changing his diaper. I realized what had happened when he stopped crying and made choking sounds! I rinsed his mouth with water but that only made him more mad.

That sound just like something my son would do. Urine is completely sanitary and he should be fine. I think talking to him and telling him that it is yucky is a good thing to do but he probably already figured that out on his own. Maybe he will remember the horrible taste and not try it again. ( i guess it taste bad, never tried it myself). Maybe this will be his last adventure for a little while. Best Wishes.

It's not going to hurt him. He's only two, yeah it's gross but I bet he wont do it again. My son one time thought it would be funny to pee in a cup that was sitting on the bathtub. I explained that we pee pee in the toilet and not in the cup because we use the cups for drinking. Other than it being gross he should be OK.

He probably helped cure himself of any impurities for a while. Actually Urine Therapy is quite common. Doctors even perscribe it because your urine is made up of all the nutrients in your body and the most pure medicine you can take. It has been known to help cure just about any sickness. I've included a site just for your reading enjoyment if you could call it that. As for me, it is not on my agenda....... nor will it ever be.

Can't leave them alone for even a second, lol! I agree with the others, this will not hurt him. However, did you get a chance to talk with him about why he chose to drink his own urine? I would be interested to hear his perspective. Kids have their own reasons and I have found when you ask you get some fascinating answers. This is one for the scrapbooks!

No need to be worried. It would take a large amount of urine and it would make his stomach hurt. No long term affects, though.
