Open up MS Word (or Excel), select Help > About Word, and it'll be displayed in the middle of the page.

To locate the Product ID for your Office program after
the program has been activated, do the following in these
2007 Microsoft Office system programs:

Access, Excel, PowerPoint, or Word
Click the Microsoft Office Button, and then click Access

Click Resources, and then click About.

Project, SharePoint Designer, or Visio
On the Help menu, click About Microsoft Office Clip

Microsoft Office OneNote, About Microsoft Office Outlook,
About Microsoft Office Publisher, About Microsoft Office

Do you have the CD in its original holder? Microsoft usually puts the software key on the back of the cd folder. Look for a bright yellow sticker with a long string of letters like W4WTY-F5GFY-...

On the back of the CD case. If you can't find it, then you'll have to call Microsoft and try to get a new key from them.

it should be on the back of the cd case on a yellow strip.

if not and you can't find it then go one better....

download openoffice2 for free it is better than ms office and has all the same programs but htey are named different.

you can write and read and save ms format so you will have no problems
