my stomach is hairy, when i tried waxing that, the process was not that easy so i had to wax the same area (around the belly button) over and over and over again and not all the hair was gone, anyway, when i woke up the next morning it looked like its burnt, it looks alright now, but the thing is that now i'm hairier than before because i used to shave it there, and obviouslt i dont know how to use this wax. i used veet... so can any one tell me an efficient way to wax?

That area is a tricky one to wax yourself because it's hard to rip it off at the correct angle.

You can try waxing again but do not re-wax the same area - you will take off skin & experience light scabbing again.

The other thing to consider is using a water soluble gel - like Nad's. It's basically a sugaring product that is used like wax but can be washed off easily.

First of all don't shave any more. Shaving will only make your hair grow out thicker. You can buy the Sally Hansen waxing kit. Your hair has to be at least 1/2 an inch long or else the wax will not grab the hair correctly. Here are some instructions for proper waxing.

1. Apply a little baby powder to the area you are to wax. This will help the wax adhere to the hair.
2. Apply the wax in the direction of the hair growth. Make sure that the wax is not to hot or will you will burn your skin.
3. Apply the cloth strip and rub 3 or 4 times in the direction of the hair growth.
4. Pull the strip against the direction of the hair growth.
5. Clean off excess wax with the wax remover sold separately but if you don't wish to buy it you can dab baby oil on a cotton ball and rub lightly until the wax comes off.

The more often you wax the less hair growth you'll get. Hope this helps.

Don't shave your stomach, what were you thinking??

You need to wait until the hair grows to it's full length before you try to wax, it sounds like your hair was not long enough.

You also need to pull the skin very taut when you wax, get someone to help you, because you won't be able to do it yourself.

Just go to a salon would be easiest. Veet sucks, btw, get a better brand.

for your own comfort (not having to rip the wax yourself) and because they know what they are doing, its best if you go to a beauty therapest. also buying cream (a cream that stops ingrown hairs, sooths the area that has just been waxed and helps your hair to gown lighter and thiner) should help you. Mancine has a fantastic cream for that, but you can just talk about that to your beauty therapist

Go to a professional to do it, and I'm sure if you let them do it, it'll take longer for your hair to grow back. I usually tweeze my eyebrows at home, and it's not as shaped and grows back faster, but when I go to a salon to wax them, they have more of a shape and they really take of all the hair from the roots, and it takes a longer time to grow back. So maybe it'll be the same for you.

Dont go for home waxing kits - you are better of going to a beautician to do it - they know which way to wax to get the best result. It is much better and they use skin friendlier products.

Sorry to hear about your problems - I am a very semi-hairly woman myself!!!
