There are quite a few nuclear powered warships in the U.S fleet.
They are the ones who usually get banned from entering port in various parts of the world, and have to keep slowing down to avoid running over the greenpeace ships.
I think that the Russians and the French have them too.
The benefit of a nuclear powered warship is the ability to operate for a very long time without re-fuelling.

The only nuclear powered surface vessels left in the US Navy are the aircraft carriers. The cruiser Long Beach and the frigates Truxtun and Bainbridge have all been decommissioned and had their power plants recycled. At one time, along with USS Enterprise, they were known as Nuclear Task Force One. In 1964 they sailed completely around the world without refueling.

There is. Nuclear Aircraft carriers , Ice breakers and I think the USS Long Beach is also Nuclear. Yep I Double checked on Wikipedia, its a Nuclear cruiser.
