Other languages like Esperanto is Ido some people call it the revised Esperanto which is said to fix all the problems it had. Personally I prefer Esperanto but I if you want to learn Ido I guess it would hurt our cause

It depends on what specific aspect of Esperanto you are thinking of.
As a general line, Ido is the closest to Esperanto. In fact, they created Ido (which in Esperanto means "offspring") taking many elements of Esperanto.
If you are thinking of it as an international auxiliary language, you have several. Lingua franca nova, Europanto, Facile, Interlingua and Novial are some examples.
If you are thinking of it as a constructed language, you have Quenya, Lojban, Ro, Klingon, Toki Pona, etc.
You can take a closer look to these and more here: http://www.langmaker.com/db/Langmaker:Conlangs
