Universal Remote Control Code?

I have a tv named Planar and i can't seem to use the tv because i have a universal remote that seems to have no codes for planar which gets me frustrated. Can someone give me a code for Planar universal remote code? Much Thanks if given :D

I WANT THE CODE AND NOT EXPLANATIONS PLZZZ..... SORRY FOR THE CAPS.... its just that i dont see any of the planar codes in the manual or anywhere else online. LIKE I REALLY SEARCHED EVERYWHERE, EVEN A WHOLE MILLION LIST OF UNIVERSAL REMOTE CODES.

Stop looking. There is no such a thing as a "universal" code for a TV or any other device.
Each universal remote control has a certain amount of memory. That memory fits only x number of codes (say 500). They usually put the most favorite brands. If you are not there and your TV does not use by accident (or design) similar IR codes with another TV, you are out of luck. Plus, each universal control uses its own codes for its database. Some are 3 digits, some 4, some 5, you get the idea.
So, what to do? Buy a cheap "learning" remote and teach it the codes of your Planar remote. If you don't have the original remote, then contact the original TV manufacturer because there is nothing much you can do. Harmony has a huge database on-line. It allows them to upload to your remote the codes you really need; but a harmony remote may be more expensive than your TV.

Most universal remotes have a code search function for brands that are not listed in your code book. Check your universal remote manual to see how to do that.

You should also check your universal remote's website to see an updated list of codes.
