It's bizarre isn't it? Xians are always going on about how evil gays are but you don't often see gays going on about how evil xians are. What are the xians afraid of - someone might break into their homes and redecorate? Honestly - this is the 21st century - not the 1400's. They should get over it and accept that the only thing humanity has in common is we are all different.

WOW, someone has some pent up aggression. First of all Christian religion has changed very little for hundreds of years. It is well out of date and based on morals developed when i was a sin to do anything but live for the One God. So is it so surprising it rejects homosexuality? It also doesn't accept ANY other religion, or even interracial marriage. But I being Catholic...sh recognize these out of date insecurities and don't follow them. I think it is perfectly fine if any two people regardless of their sex want to be married. So don' go venting your anger on all Christians. Not all are the same.
And remember, the last person to take all their aggressions out on one religion was Hitler, and things didn't work out so well for him, now did they?
But as a side note to all the Christians that believe that Homosexuality is a sin and "giving in to it" is immoral and believe that faith in God and Jesus shall overcome such "evil" are naive and ignorant. Homosexuality is not a choice. It is no more a choice than it is straight peoples choice to be with the opposite sex. It is just natural to find attraction to same sex OR opposite sex. It is just a part of who people are. And neither is a sin.
The bible also states that masturbation is a sin. If one male says they don't, they are flat out liars, or have no arms.
I am not a homosexual myself but I understand that it is a natural thing, and certainly not an abomination. So to those uptight individuals that this rant is about, get your nose out of the Bible for 10 minutes and read a science book. Please!
Oh, and try to understand that mortal men wrote the Bible as was the word of God through them. So a lot of these philosophers and holy men put their own thoughts and beliefs into their Scriptures. It doesn't make them completely accurate, and doesn't mean to always take them literally.

I personally don't know any Christian who treat homosexuals the way you claim. It's a bit frustrating how a couple of people from a certain group (Christianity in this case) make some stupid and ignorant comments and then that entire group of people is talked badly about. I have an uncle who is a homosexual and i would never DREAM of ever thinking of him as evil or immoral nor would i ever tell him that his lifestyle is wrong. I have no room to speak of anything because I do not live his life, I don't know how he feels or anything of the sort. I honestly couldn't care less about his sexual orientation--although the Bible does say that it is wrong; it says the same thing about lying, killing, adultery, gossping etc and that doesn't stop other people from doing it ya know--so i personally don't understand why homosexuality is made into this HUGE sin when there are people doing a million other things that the Bible says not to do as well.

I am a Christian. I believe that the problems that Christians have with homosexuals is evidence that the devil has gotten into their minds and their pastors' minds by leaving the Gospel for a message against a particular type of sinner. What they do is divide. The message that we hear is that of those who are poorly taught. The Christians who preach this message against homosexuals DON'T EVEN BELIEVE THE LORD WHEN HE SAID THAT WHOSOEVER WILLS MAY COME. (I hope they see that.)
I have personally heard some Christians deny a homosexual the words of the Gospel because that person was homosexual! That is a demonic thing from the deepest part of Hell if there ever was one!
Christians sin daily. Some of them are closet homosexuals and hide it from the other Christians because they know that they will face persecution over it. It may not be violent persecution, but it will be everything else.
I hope that from what I have told you, you will see that grace is offered to people because God chose them out of the world. NOT because they were, are, or never were homosexual. I myself am a saved Bisexual.
So those Christians do not even have the truth, thanks to the terrible, demoniacally inspired horse crap coming out of their pastors mouth!
It's all about grace and peace from Jesus Christ, which makes peace between a person, homosexual or not, and God.
Nuff said!

The answer is in a scripture most often partially quoted (as are many by those who Cherry pick the Bible)
1 Corinthians 6:9-11, most people choose to stop quoting at 10, but 11 gets to the heart of the matter some of them were drunkards, and revilers, and men that lie with men, but they were washed clean...
Clean didn't mean once saved always saved, they had to choose not to practice sin again, not easy but Holy Spirit makes it easier.
Those who believe once saved always saved do not pay attention to scriptures such as Romans 1:28-32 or Matthew 7:21-23 or 2 Timothy 2:15... none of these scriptures support such a concept, because they show that belief in Christ alone was not enough, belief that he died for our sins was not enough.
How would it be Critical Times hard to deal with, if all we had to do was believe in his execution, and his cause, and the blood he shed (2 Timothy 3:1-5)... obviously there was work involved, because if the Apostles believed once saved always saved why did they preach about Jesus, and the Kingdom of God, it would have saved them a lot of hardship including some of their executions... it was because it was what Christ taught them. He taught them to hate no one, pray for those cursing you and oppressing you, turn the other cheek...
I challange you or anyone for that matter to order the free book "What Does the Bible Really Teach?" from http://www.watchtower.org , and test it out from the scriptures... The truth of God will be known upon the entire inhabited Earth, and then the end will come.

Being a Christian myself, I know that it is not right for others to judge anyone!! Only God above can judge us!! Matthew 7:1-2 says " Judge Not, that you be not judged. For with that judgement you jugde, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you!" It is written in the Bible that homosexuality is an ABOMINATION, and is an IMMORAL sin against God. Leviticus 18:22. Also Leviticus 20:13 says..If a man lays with a male as he lays with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them! If one is a TRUE Christian, then its pretty safe to say that they would not have the urge to be a homosexual. If you have salvation through acceptance of Jesus Christ as your savior, and you were once a homosexual, but REPENT of your sin, YOU SHALL BE SAVED!! If you continue to have immoral relations as a homosexual and do not accept Christ, then you have no chance of entering the Kingdom of Heaven....I am not passing judgement ... True christians Love the sinner, but hate the sin!
God Bless!!

Not all people have homosexual urges, but many do. Many people have never and will never act on them for many reasons, the feeling that they are doing something "wrong" might be one of them. I am a newly converted Christain. As far as I can see it, the bible does talk about homosexuality being a sin a few times. BUT, it also says that we are all sinners and that no one sin is any worse than another. I am single (divorced), and in biblical terms, I also am not supposed to have sex. I do though, so I am sinning, there and in many other aspects of my life I am sure. It is hard to fight these natural urges for sex, hetero and homo. I guess we just really have to try. But there is hope for me to have unsinful sex in the future if I were to get remarried. Homosexuals don't get that though so I feel bad for them. I think they are born that way and the only option I can see for them is to abstain, that really sucks. I also NEED to learn to abstain as well, since we are on the topic.
But Christains are NOT supposed to judge and if they do they are just as "bad" as a homosexual because they are also sinning. Then they need to repent, but they probably won't.

I want to be careful with my words. God defines sin, not Christians. And, we are all sinful. Homosexuals are no worse sinners than anyone else. The thing that we try to point out, is that God asks us to repent from our sin. "Homosexual Christians" seek to continue their lifestyle. Otherwise, they would just be Christians right? They would be a new creation, and would die to their old self. The only sin God cannot forgive is one that is not let go. Are homosexual acts a sin according to God? Yes. But I cannot tell someone that they are not having those urges, or that they were not born with them. All I can tell you is that Jesus has offered victory over sin, to anyone who desires. To refuse that, is to in essence, reject Jesus and His sacrifice. By the way, I only wrote this in respects to those who claim to be homosexual Christians, I have no jurisdiction to speak of those outside the church.

I am a Christian, and I Love everyone for it says that in the Bible, and I Love everyone as brothers and sisters....
ok if any Christian is giving you a hard time, pull out a bible, or ask them to pull out theirs, and tell them to read 1 John 4:7-21 it will help you alot, also, there is a verse in the Bible, I forgot which section, but it states that "If you do not love your fellow brothers and sisters, you truly do not Love God" and you should take that to heart as should every other christian, no matter how different someone is they are just as good as me or anyone else, and I do not share the same feelings as you, for I have never experienced homosexuality myself, although many of my friends are homosexual, and are just as Christian as I am, you deserve God, just like everyone else does, as long as you accept Christ as your savior.
God Bless you, and I Love you =]

Its a shame when someone of faith treats others with disrespect. Christians are to live by Gods word, and treat others nicely. As a new believer I am still learning. The bible, which is Gods word, states that we are not to have sex before marriage. Alot of humans have urges they have to fight, its between them and God. Not anyone here on earth. There are all types of people in this world, and each one of them believe they are living in the right way. Its not fair to bash anyone for what they do, I think Christians are actually just trying to help. Their passion sometimes comes across as being harsh. I really dont care who people are sleeping with, I have made plenty of mistakes! But now that I have a relationship with God, I am trying to straighten up. God is the only one who can judge us. He is also a very forgiving God, thankfully.

I am a Christian but I do not have an opinion about the sinfulness of homosexuality because the Bible does say judge not lest ye be judged.
I also think there is some strong scientific evidence to show that sexual orientation is a biological function. I know many gay people and they did not choose to be gay just as I did not choose to be straight. I think it is biological and that the Lord is the only one to judge them. None of us know the answer to that.
I also think that these closed minded "Christians" who want to dictate behavior in the USA are no different that the "radical muslims" who are trying to dictate behavior in Iraq.
