My man and I have been together a while now. He finds himself recently unemployed and is having a problem finding a job. He is really down on himself and depressed because of it. Rather than turning to me, who should be a source of support for this type of thing, he has pushed me away saying that he is going to become intolerable soon. and he would rather end us on a high note. He is not cheating, and he says he still loves me. How do you just walk away from someone because you're going through something weird and temporary? I'm so confused. There is no pushing him or changing his mind. He is very strong minded and stubborn. What is the best way to handle this. I'm so broken hearted over this. Do I just let him go and see what happens?

We rarely argue and we always have a blast together. Never had more fun with someone i've dated.

Self-destructive tendencies are the mark of a big man. Just hang out for awhile and keep whatever hold on him you can. Once he finds a new job and feels like he's supporting you again, he'll mellow out. The situation will return to normal soon after.

If I were you, I'd just wait till everything cooled down, and he found a new steady job. If he starts to talk to you again, then you know it was only stress getting to him.

But to me, it sounds a lot like he's just using that as an excuse to end your relationship, Do you guys argue a lot? Do you tend to have fun, and laugh together?

Sounds like he has some serious depression. Does he take any medication? Just get rid of him and move on to someone who can be positive and not bring you down all the time!
